That's just a bad break. Not unlike Tony toe-tap failing to haul in the pass before that.

This is what an offense looks like when it's Club Med in the preseason. I hope all the rust gets knocked off today, because Ben and the offense can't afford to start like they did last year.

I don’t hate him. But the reality he’s nothing more than the same JAG that’s on literally every roster.

He's a waste of a roster spot.
You realize that if you keep repeating the same shit, it actually comes true.

He's way better than a JAG. He doesn't do much great, or bad.....very average at many things. But honestly there are not 32 TE's in the league better than him.

Agreed.

He keeps getting better imo. Bad drop there but rain can't be making it easier to catch.
Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked Griffith, “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”

If it goes through your hands you should catch it. I’d like to see outlaw make up for that.

So should he get ball cancer or are we not to that point yet?

I'll call it now:

We will see Baker Mayfield at some point in the 2nd half.

...and it won't be because of injury.

TB wrote:I mean, the first pick was just a bad decision.

But the second was a miscommunication with AB and the third was a ball that literally went right through his receivers hands.

Now, you can question whether they should be slinging it around as much as they are given you've got AB coming off a preseason where he didn't play, Ben hardly played, and in less than ideal passing conditions.

Exactly...everyone keeps citing the 3 picks but it's all about the context. First was a disastrous decision, second was a unnecessary decision and a miscommunication (still not terrible since he pinned the Browns deeper than berry wouldve) and the thirds on the TE. Wipe the slate clean in the second half and pick your spots better

This is a tough one for the game thread....If you blame JJ, are you making excuses for Ben? And if you blame Ben, then you're making excuses for that POS jagoff.

Let's keep the peace and just say BOTH Ben and JJ are 110% to blame!

I don’t think Stephen Hawking could’ve scored that TD but only because he’s kinda dead. Neil Degrasee Tyson or Michio Kaku, yes.

If Watt stays healthy, he's an All Pro level player.

Probably not, and certainly not right away. But $14.5M is worth way more than a comp pick at the end of R3.
