Ran a route wrong and didn't like being told to redo it? If this is the case then the guy has to go.

Ok now...this is starting to get fishy. So according to these guys, and other reports, this all started on Wednesday because AB got pissed and threw a football at Ben because he didn’t run his route correctly...right?
But isn’t Wednesday Ben’s normal vet day off?

Going back a ways in the thread to what Ryan Clark said, I wonder why no defensive player didn't plant his fucking ass after shouting at Dick LeBeau the way he did. LeBeau was like God to his players. I wonder why he wasn't picked up and body slammed unconscious, then dragged off the field. If Brown has had this attitude, why didn't anyone plant him? Using my wrestling stories, we had that guy! He was the best wrestler I had ever seen - won the Lehigh Prep tournament two years in a row setting all kinds of records. Yet, he had one hell of a diva attitude half way through the season, expecting to get out of the grueling workout regimine our coach put us through. Didn't take long to reign him in as we, the team, put him through "hell" practice one day. The coach left the room and he had to wrestle each and everyone of us for 2 hours straight. He got no breaks and no rest. By the time we were done with him, he apologized for his attitude and never again acted that way. It didn't hurt that he was applying to the naval academy and couldn't afford to quit the team because of it. That lessen carried him through the Naval Academy and he became the teams captain! With all of the egos and tough guys on the team, I just wonder why no one clocked his ass!!!

during walk through of game plan before the team gets into full practice is what I inferred from the past couple of days.

Did Josh Dobbs like ABs tweet during the press conference? Saw on another blog he did. Would seem odd.

I was thinking the same thing. The national idiots, who are routinely wrong, say "scrap at practice" but Ben and Tomlin say there was nothing. There were 50+ people there and no on site reports. Tomlin said that he gave AB Wednesday off b/c of sore knee. So two players, each of whom did not practice, got into a heated argument at a practice when neither of them was there. Ben said he spoke with AB Thursday morning and everything was fine. Aditi Whatshername is the only national media member there and she never said that there was an "incident"

This is looking like a good pile of bullshit. Not saying that AB didn't act like a dick but it seems more and more that it was just typical diva shit that he has done before, hence expecting to play on Sunday. Crapreport and Peaches are full of shit in my book. The truth will eventually come out.

Can anyone confirm this?

FWIW.....Per Labriola, here is a transcript from the PC today with Tomlin's story on what happened with AB

https://www.steelers.com/news/tomlin-ad ... GHSTEELERS

“(Brown) came in on Wednesday and expressed having soreness in his lower body – feet, ankles, knees specifically. It was no big deal from that perspective,” said Tomlin. “It happens some with veteran players. I give them a day off, and I work younger guys. We came in on Thursday, and he expressed that he was continuing to feel that discomfort. Again, given the fact this was the Cincinnati Bengals – a second-time against a divisional opponent – in terms of the familiarity it wasn’t anything to ring the alarm bells about.

“We worked younger people, and I listed him on the injury report that day with the knee injury that he described. Friday is kind of the witching hour – situational football and things of that nature – in terms of readiness for the game. When he came in and expressed discomfort in his knee on Friday, and the fact he wouldn’t be able to participate (in practice) on Friday, we sent him to get an MRI. And I instructed him that after the MRI he was to go home and get off his feet and lay low and that I would communicate with him on Friday evening and we would plot out our course of action from there.”

(NOTE: In response to a question later during the news conference, Tomlin said Brown never did show up to get that MRI on his knee.)

“I wanted to leave the light on for him, and that was the nature of our conversation (on Friday). That was why we listed him as questionable for the game. After Friday’s business was done, it became difficult to communicate and catch up with him. I wasn’t able to communicate with him on Friday evening or Saturday morning, so when we had our Saturday morning walk-through and he was unavailable, then it became something altogether different. We decided to focus our energies on the guys who were working and prepared to work and (were) present (on Saturday), and so those are the guys we prepared to play in the football game.

“I woke up Sunday morning and got a phone call from his agent – Drew Rosenhaus – and Drew expressed that (Brown) was feeling better and he would potentially be able to participate. I outlined to Drew that decisions weren’t made like that, but I would be interested in visiting with (Brown) in person at the stadium prior to the game, but playing wasn’t on the menu.

“Drew relayed that to him, and I met with AB prior to the game. He asked what he could do. I said the best thing he could do in terms of helping us win the game would be to be there and support his teammates. He agreed to do that. We had a general conversation about his overall health, and I sent him to the training staff, who were at the stadium readying people for play. And that was the last conversation he and I had. I saw him in the bowl during pregame warmups, but as the game began to unfold I got occupied with the things that are at hand. I heard he left the stadium, but I don’t confirm that because I was centered around the guys who were performing in-stadium.”

Anyone watch “the Masked Singer” show on Fox tonight? You’ll never guess who the first guest singer was.... never.

This guy fucking seeks attention, he craves it. It’s all that matters to him. Good or bad attention. That has to be at least his 5th reality tv show he’s been on that I know of.

Masked Singer
Dancing With The Stars
Tanked
Tree House Masters
Shark Tank
And I know he made guest appearances on Ballers and other tv shows.

The links are on twitter... AB wore a hippo mask and sang Its My Prerogative by Bobby Brown....

Everybody's talkin' all this stuff about me (Now now)
Why don't they just let me live (Oh oh oh)
I don't need permission
Make my own decisions (Oh)
That's my prerogative
They say I'm crazy
I really don't care
That's my prerogative
They say I'm nasty
But I don't give a damn
Gettin' girls is how I live
Some ask me questions
Why am I so real
But they don't understand me
I really don't know the deal
About a brother
Trying hard to make it right
Not long ago
Before I win this fight

.....please make it stop...

This is all happening, isn't it.

Bad route in practice. Jealousy over a team mvp. Not showing up to practices or returning calls except by agent. Video with last year's center of drama, deebo. Singing hippo.

Its all real?

This is what happens when you dont give ben his vet days off. If he doesn't practice Wednesday, the alleged 'incident' doesn't happen.

It's kind of amazing for a guy who works so hard at his brand and gaining exposure...that he can't stop himself from the petty self-centered crap that damages his brand.

Just makes you remember that the vast majority of these NFL players have the brain and common sense of a 3rd grader. No offense to any 3rd graders out there.

Fuck this

This from a guy in Jersey... imagine what the hardcore Yinzers in W PA think. This team doesn’t represent their values anymore. The damn team name is STEELERS after the workforce of the city back in the day. They’ve gone from hard working blue collar team to the biggest bunch of Hollywood superstar divas in all of sports. This city hates this current team with a passion. I’m telling you, dropping Brown and Bell will right a lot of wrongs, given they can get fair value back for Brown. I’m sure they can if they’re smart. I’m talking shut down corner or top 5 pick.

I have not found one comment on this board regarding the current state that is invalid or inappropriate, the above comments have resonated. Art 2 has insulted his family's legacy, dishonored the memory of its founder and its Pittsburgh base. Art would be appalled at the direction of his team that he entrusted to his heirs. Art loved Pittsburgh as much as he loved his team, Art 2 has betrayed both.

I've learned that in the US, class, dignity, and pride are displayed territorially; Manhattan class is different from LA class, both different from Miami class. Living in Pittsburgh in the 60's I learned about Pittsburgh class: quiet, proud, deep. When I met the 4 time SB champs in 1980 they were imbued with class, except Bradshaw, he was an attention seeking jerk covering for his inadequacies, Rocky & Moon apologized for him. Tomlin's Steelers are without class, they are not Pittsburgh.

The supposedly bright law school graduate has boxed himself into a corner, that's my take, and he doesn't know how to get out. Logic dictates that he fully understands the current status, and would fix it if he could. If so why can't he? The complexities run below the surface, out of public view and they are guarded, no leaks. Again my take, there are consequences for the moves that Art 2 has made and he has ensnared himself and the team. Excising the malignancy, healing and rebuilding from the ground up seems like the logical solution. As long as the problem remains the face and persona of the team, freshly hired support might help spokes but won't fix the wheel. A capsized ship cannot right itself, the current captain does not have the skills to right the ship. It will have to sink, replaced by a new vessel. Current crew has been poisoned, will have to go down with the ship.
