Nobody, but watching the butthurt is hilarious.
LOL, you've been saying Ben's done for at least 5 years. Eventually you'll be right, but there's no prize for being an idiot for nearly half a decade.

Defense forced Herbert to throw before he wanted to a number of times on that drive.
We're going to need a lot more of that.

It didn't massively cost us anything... I'm pretty sure an incompletion or interception is worse.
I won't even bother to call you stupid.

It cost the Steelers a TD. They got ZERO POINTS on that drive and the Chargers responded to that GIGANTIC FAILURE by going 98 yards for touchdown.

So yeah, it didn't cost the team anything.

Would you bother to call me stupid if I stood on a box and advocated for Mason fucking Rudolph over Ben for weeks on end?... I would.
I guess it depended on how Ben was playing.

After the first 4 weeks, I would have given Jamarcus Russell a try.

Gotta try and hold them to FGs.

As B2B said, just need one more point than them at the end.

You mean Tomlin reached in his pants and shifted his balls?

The offense wasn’t magically going to start putting up 30+ burgers. Hell, even getting 20+ would be surprising
Could be the game if the defense made a single play and we had more than 3 possessions.

I hope Tomlin's gut has the processing power to account for down 7 with potentially only 2.2 possessions.

Considering he’s throw several deep balls on the money, I have my opinion on it. I find he often tries to make sure his guy has a play, rather than overthrow it. For years now.
It was a bad throw. Turned Claypool around, but he's playing very well.

The whining bitching when Ben isn't absolutely perfect on every throw has gotten beyond tiresome. Hard to believe so-called fans want him to fail just so they can say "told you so".
Who here wants Ben to fail?
The guy I just muted again after finally un-muting him.

Impressed with the pass blocking tonight.

The Chargers can rush the passer but Ben has had time tonight.

To be fair, if we weren't the dumbest most inept team at 1st and goal from the 5, this argument is probably not even happening.

I agree, it was underthrown, but we have to punch it in there, and I don't think the goal to go sequence was on Ben.
Just so predictable inside the ten. They use the some 4 or 5 plays. They might run them in a different sequence, but it’s still the same plays. Inside power, end around, corner fade, shovel pass. Everyone knows it.

That is all it was.

Claypool was open and he was making sure he didn't overthrow it and that they still got a big play out of it.

Claypool didn't have to stumble over himself though. The playcalling the next 3 plays was atrocious.
He overthrew him the time before. Played it safe since he was so wide open. No issues with that. They still need to be able to punch it in from there to beat a good team.
Go back and watch the earlier one: Claypool stopped running up the field and broke it towards the safety coming from the other side. I think that throw was right on target and 11 should have gone upfield and not allowed James a shot at the ball.

If I was Butler, my plan would be to just shut down the run completely, and take my lumps on passing. LA will fuck up one or two series and then Ben has to pounce.

Right now they have no weakness….they are passing and rushing at will. I would also put a spy on Herbert.

Either that or do the sell out on every blitz and almost every down.

The saddest part is there was no awareness, or foresight, that it could be 4-down territory. Playcalling didn't reflect that.

I'd really like to know if Tomlin, or Canada, is making those critical calls. I think it's Canada - SHOULD be Tomlin, but I don't think he's ever made an effort to learn the offense.

Oh it cost us four points, make no mistake about it. Zero doubt that's a TD had Mason been the QB.
Yes there is doubt about that. There's plenty of doubt about that.

I don't think Mason should start ahead of Roethlisberger but this offense is a mess no matter the QB.

Folks are beating off at this offensive explosion and we're going to have the same amount of points at the half as last week.

Yes, but we aren't playing the Lions either... :)
In the freezing rain and shit weather.

...and the Lions gashed our defense WITH Watt and Fitzpatrick on the field once Haden went down.
Perfect weather or not both the QBs that showed up last week would have still sucked tonight and as the Lions gashed our defense with Watt/Fitz so would LAC. Ben is no Herbert at this point but we can still win this game. Do not see that possibility with MR at the helm.
