How about the group of Washington Redskins players who came out for pregame introductions with their hands held up high in support of Mr. Brown? How about the people who are protesting (even peacefully) who do the same pose and carry signs of "don't shoot"?

Well there are protests in over 100 American cities right now. My facebook feed is peppered with educated and otherwise rational people parroting the media narrative without any understanding of the actual facts of the case. I think anything where a personal belief system is involved, there will be substantial cognitive dissonance. People will cherry pick the things that affirm their beliefs, and disregard the things that challenge their beliefs. That's why you can't discuss politics or religion with a great many types of people. Social issues can be just as volatile. Millions of Americans obviously wanted to believe there was some great racial injustice in the Michael Brown incident, and their opinions have not evolved as the actual details of the incident have been made public. They have formed their opinion, and will develop elaborate excuses so they don't have to accept that all it really amounted to in the first place was a large male that happened to be black was shot and killed because he physically attacked a police officer that happened to be white.

I wasn't aware that law enforcement involving a suspect reaching for an officer weapon was MMA on a high school playground. Thank you for clarifying that for me. I also heard that the St. Louis DA was responsible for benching RG3.

My daughter's Facebook feed (she's 25) is filled with idiots decrying the supposed injustice of it all...AND....if you don't agree with me, then Unfriend me. Assholes!!

It's why Facebook for me is used to keep in contact with family etc. My wife showed me how to "unfollow" people because I was deleting so many people. Hell, even some of my family members got unfollowed. I mean, the ones that didn't get deleted outright did. LOL.
