Matthew Stafford must be thinking… ooh, so this is what it’s like to play for a real NFL franchise…

Rams are for real. Very good and very well coached.
They are less than a TD ahead of an exceedingly mediocre Bears team who already gave away 3 points.
Not sure they are mediocre. Still a top 5 defense and Nagy has one of the best offensive minds in football.

Hell, he won and went to the playoffs with Trubisky at the helm.

Bears will win games this year book it.
He won't win games with this version of Andy Dalton.

Either he finds out right away if Justin Fields is the real deal, or the Bears are an under .500 team.

So Ravens vs Raiders; who ya got?

Ravens favored by 3.5. I think Raiders cover but Ravens win 27-24

Atmosphere in that stadium seems artificial and plastic. The Al Davis torch isn’t even a real flame. How lame.

My thoughts on what would have made Vegas opening night better:

Elvis impersonator singing Anthem!
Britney Spears doing something.
Elvis impersonator getting the crowd fired up with the opening he always did in his concerts.

Apache Helicopters doing a formation/peek-a-boo at the windows of the stadium instead of the flyover.

BAL plugs in a UDFA from the PS and springs him for a 35-yd TD run. Meanwhile PIT struggles to find a guy that can get 3.0 YPA.

That 35 yard run was luck.

It’s a dome. Or I should say the dome was closed. Not really an option this night.

I assume the dome opens like Arizona?

Sure, Harbaugh asked his magic 8-ball what play to run, and then a huge hole magically opened up for the RB. Can't seem to figure out why PIT never gets that kind of "luck".

But apache's over the fifty in a dome would be something, yes? I'd watch that.

One guy misses an assignment, or takes the wrong angle, despite the coaching, and it's a 35 yard TD run. Nobody is perfect. There are 11 guys on the field.

Raiders offense is worse than the Steelers 1st half offense.

Especially throwing the football.

Pretty sure he is serious. He does look pretty good passing. But the Raiders are not that great.

Steve Young was all over Harbaugh and the Ravens Org for not making the offense more sophisticated and expecting Jackson to do the same. Basically saying they are setting up a self-fulfilling prophecy of the mediocre passer. Pretty good argument.

I’m kinda digging the Peyton-Eli broadcast on ESPN2…beats the hell out of listening to Levy and Riddick. Right now they have Killer Ray on with them. Barkley was on during 1st qtr.

I confess I'm watching peripherally. But I've seen Jackson run out of the pocket multiple times, and made a decent pass in the red zone for a TD on a busted play. Woopie.

Is it just me or do people with neck tattoos of the arm sleeve variety hold their heads like they are in a neck brace?

I honestly don’t even know how to respond to that but Villanueva is literally getting destroyed on every passing play and Jackson is dropping dimes.

Not sure how the guy can be playing any better.
