I don’t care enough about this to carry on a convo about the semantics of good. I think Tomlin could still get this team in playoffs after after a rebuild. I think he can keep the team competitive. I don’t think he gets us to an AFCCG or SB without a change in philosophy.

Good, not great.

“Being a fan is fine, but there is a line you can cross that makes it really unhealthy,” said Ken Yeager, PhD, a mental health expert in the department of psychiatry at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

I still hold out hope that Rooney gets in his ear and makes him hire top notch coordinators like Cowher did. Tomlin as the face of the organization, recruiting FAs that want to play for him and motivating guys on the sideline is fine. Just don't let him fuck up the X's and O's.
Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked Griffith, “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”
