Football Outsiders had the Colts ranked #10 heading into last week, and #13 right now.
In basic normie stats, the Colts are #6 in yards against and #11 in scoring.
Not too shabby.

They were 10th until Kenny took it to 'em

The Colts held both the Chiefs and the Eagles to 17 points. That seems meaningful to me.

I can’t imagine the Steelers holding Mahomes to 17 points in a game, ever.

His first year as a starter, he came into Heinz and dropped right around 50.

So yeah, you’re right on the money. Beating KC and Mahomes AND holding them to only 17 points is excellent.

Good to know. I will continue to expect high quality wins from Pickett from here on out

How many wins did Mahomes have in his rookie season? How many TD passes?

1 and 0. He appeared in a single game as a rookie and posted a 72 passer rating against a 6-10 Broncos team

Yes, it is. If you expect Pickett to play like Mahomes, then you should acknowledge Mahomes was sitting on the bench at this point in his career

I noticed you disagreed with me but never elaborated.

Would you mind addressing my point and explaining your position? Please & Thank you.

It would be better if the Kenny fluffers just acknowledged that he’s a notch or 3 below the best QBs at best

Well Mahomes 23-24 year old season was his second year in the NFL. In that year he threw for almost 5,100 yards, 50 TDs and a 113.8 rating.

Sure, he sat a year in the NFL. But he was also younger compared to Pickett by a few months for the same year.

True. But my point was that the Chiefs felt Mahomes wasn't ready to play in his rookie year, and sat him behind Alex Smith. You can't really compare Pickett and Mahomes rookie years because Mahomes didn't play. If it turns out that Pickett is just a few years behind Mahomes developmentally, we'll all be doing backflips (no, I'm not saying this will happen).

By this same token, Rodgers didn't start until his 4th season, and didn't break out until 2009 (he turned 27 mid year).
Drew Brees didn't start until his 2nd year in the league, and he was so bad in his first few seasons that the Chargers drafted Rivers.
Josh Allen was putting up worse numbers than Pickett until he had a big game in Week 17 of his rookie season vs Miami.
Eli Manning had a career QB rating of 73.4 when he won his first Lombardi.
Matt Stafford won a total of 3 games and had a passer rating of 67.1 through his first 2 seasons.

There's this implication in so many posts on here that Pickett hasn't shown this subjective/undefinable "it" already and it's time to write him off. Meanwhile, there are loads of superstar NFL QB's that struggled right out of the gate (or didn't play at all). Not every great QB has followed the career arc of Big Ben, Patrick Mahomes, or Dan Marino.

It would be better yet to acknowledge that Kenny is a rookie and we don't yet know your assertion is true.

Taking the median on the original assertion, if KP is two notches below the best in the league as a rookie with >10 starts in the NFL and trending positively, I'm actually pretty good with that outcome. Nice compliment from STD. I will sign him up for a Kenny Fluffers feather duster and coffee cup set delivery, just need him to PM me the address.

Now, add in a big boy's 5XL version of a French Maid's outfit and good ol' Jizz Mop might find himself workin some overtime and a little sumpin' extra in his paycheck cum Friday....just sayin'. Seems like a win-win twofer for those two fine gents.
