Its the reaches -- usually based on pure athletic ability or College win rate - .... and with the importance of the position growing to such great levels -- the reaching has gotten more reachy and happens more often
And ... again, you cant simply draft a reach with no specific plan for them.
its the height of silliness to reach and then think you can plug and play with no revisions to scheme -- and in Pittsburghs case with no development plan and no proper QB coach.

Anyway, guys, since I started this thread, I’m back, ready to eat crow for posting that the Steelers would panic and take Milroe in the first.

Now package a third, fourth and seventh next year for a late second this year, or even a third this year. Or whatever the chart says; we can replenish the traded picks with comp picks, and still hold our first and second rounders for the draft in Pittsburgh.
