Hiring McCarthy is just more of the same delusional mindset. it’s entirely possible to me that they are well aware that we aren’t championship contenders, but are making the conscious choice that they’d rather be a generally over .500 team than a generally below .500 team, because winning football sells more tickets. Sure, they’ll lose the ‘championship or bust’ market segment, but they aren’t likely to make those people happy no matter what.
