What matters is the salary cap hit Zivco...and overthecap.com has the same salary cap hits as sportrac.

You didn't link to a rankings list of cap hits...you linked to figures which do not matter when you're trying to build a team (yes, they matter to the owner paying out actual $$, but not when trying to build a team).

The cap numbers I listed were completely accurate.

2014 from overthecap- Troy 8th in cap hit.

http://overthecap.com/position/safety/2014/

2015- overthecap has him 4th in cap hit- oh well, not 3rd- still a far cry from "16th highest paid safety".

http://overthecap.com/position/safety/2015/

You are completely disingenuous when you link to a page showing "total contract value".

First rule of making business decisions is you only look at the costs ahead of you and you ignore the sunk costs.

No, I'm not at all disingenuous. No two business's are exactly alike, I don't believe in "rules". The teeny tiny talent pool and a high yet unpredictable attrition rate are just two aspects that make it unlike any other.

The fact's you refuse to deal with given the statistics...even last years stats...there is nothing outrageous about TPs deal.

This also relates to the fact that we have to sign a vet of a similar level to TP. Outside of Landon Collins and maybe Cody Prewitt I don't see any S in the draft that is anything more then a cross your fingers and pray starter. S Thomas can't stay healthy playing teams and can't even get on the field in packages when healthy. Allen is a street FA that doesn't belong on an opening roster. Mitchell might be the dumbest S in the NFL and those anticipating a happy landing at SS better be ready to see chunk run after chunk run.

Whatever is saved by cutting TP now is no where near his worth next year.

He is likely starting in AC next year...we likely have the worst pass defense in the NFL.

You gotta pay somebody if you're going to spend premium picks on RB every other year.

You clearly lack reading comprehension or trolling brings out the stupid. I listed by name a half dozen players I would take over Gurley. In fact it is easy to see that there are a dozen players I would rather take then Gurley. I'm just not taking another Shazpussy.

You fuckheads want to roll the dice on another underwear olympic superstar like Bud Dupree or Eli Harold or Kevin Johnson out of need...and Dupree is the only one I would take even in the second round...while holding my nose considering how many times he was on his back...sometimes vs TEs.

No, stupidity brings out the stupid. But non-stupid people already knew that.

No, I'm just pointing out that you don't know close to 1/2 of what you pretend to know. Which by your own criteria would make you a moron, but that's an internal issue for you to work out.

Fact is there is nothing unusual let alone extreme to my thoughts here. In fact they close to match the FOs official position on this. Yet nothing but exasperated ad hom attacks from you....

I think Polamalu was mildly overpaid for production last year and is an injury concern at a high salary.

But ....

Our defense sucks and I agree with Clemson that terrible part is he is likely better than all the others when healthy.

I think he will not be a Cardinal and will be back with the Steeelrs for one more year.

I think one of the reason our D is in a bad state is in part Troys comment. Different type of player being drafted and coddled on D anymore and it's not working out well.

I also think L. Collins may be the steelers pick if he lasts to our pic

No, you've pretty much gone to lengths to show why a rational front office is an idiot when they disagree with you, whom no one pays even as a consultant. And the "brilliant" front office hasn't been able to field a team to win a playoff game in 4+ years.

That's not an attack, it's pointing out reality. Maybe if you didn't have such a high opinion of yourself you wouldn't take it so personally.

Chris Johnson pissed Troy off, taunting him. Johnson was busted for open carrying, then shot over the weekend. Good role model.

GM Kevin Colbert said just now Steelers do not have an update on Troy Polamalu's status and team "will continue to communicate with Troy."
