Bucs up 4-2 on Cubbies in the third.

Boys are STILL rakin’.

They stay good...this thread length will reach epic proportions.

Buccos rain on Cub's opening day parade :)

MLB is a crushingly-long marathon of a season . . . obviously small sample size so far . . . nonetheless, Pirates looking damn good leading the division at the 1/16th pole (where have you gone, Hopalong?) . . .

Bullpen needs major improvement before I'll believe.

Yeah, what I can't believe is that I'm getting every game free in HD on all devices from T-mobile, and that the Pirates are surprisingly a fun team to watch so far 8-)

I hope the GM doesn't wait too long to acquire middle relief help.

This team is solid, and has one major hole.

Let's hope they try to fill it before the all-star break.

If we had any decent middle relief, we'd be undefeated right now. I think almost the entire lineup is batting over .300!

whats even more shocking is normally bats improve in warm weather and pitching dominates early.. hitting the way they have in semi blizzards each day is remarkable.. can it last? I'm sure some slippage is in store; but the new guys are raking and polancos been on fire which is what everyone hoped.

Serpico with a three-run blast.

3-0 Buccos.

Glasnow ran into hard luck and then wilted.

Passed ball on a called third strike...deflected ball ruins a potential double play...stolen base...then a run scores on a shitty throw by Harrison. Three extra outs given to the Cubbies right there.

Then the roof caves in with a double and a single...Cubs now up 8-4.

Williams pitching good into the 6th. He came up with men on 1st and 3rd two outs top 6. Struck out. Why I hate watching pitchers hit.

Cervelli with 3-run HR for insurance. 6-1 Buccos top 7.

I'd feel a whole lot better with Musgrove back in the lineup and another solid arm or 2 in the bullpen

great series in Chicago

Fangraphs thinks Musgrove is a sleeper to be a breakout pitcher.

I hope so- we could use another solid starter and get guys like Brault in the bullpen to knock people like the Lithuanian off the roster.

If you could Photoshop Nutting into that, it would be better...

Yep...I thought the same, but beyond my limited skill set.
Of course, any image of Nutting would quell my urge to buy in...

Shitty night for ‘burgh sports all around so far.

Keystone Kops defense on a routine sacrifice fly allows the Marlins to unload the bases and take a 4-2 lead onnthe Buccos.

big lead on Marlins now - assume we win and take this series -- would've been nice to sweep this shitty team

back home with the Rockies -- hopefully we keep this going

team doing much much better than the pundits thought, so far -- couple guys got hit today because of awful Marlins pitching - can't afford to lose Harrison/Cervelli

The pirates are 10-4?

Really?

Surely this can't last. . .
