Once again, you aren’t demonstrating any historical perspective. Tarring and feather never was associated with race. Majinf that connection either demonstrates a remarkable lack of historical understanding or perhaps extreme sensitivity to race that is borderline racist itself.

This place is definitely heavy on the bipolar.

All I’m asking for is an apology. You made a mistake and misunderstood history. That’s fine. But please apologize for calling me racist. It was unwarranted and against rules.

I love how you are seriously trying to justify saying someone should be tarred and feathered. Over a f'n football game.
Tarring and feathering was not exclusive to blacks, but it was used against "enemies of the community," was popular among "lynch mobs" and the KKK has a history with it as well. Like I said, if you were in a more public setting and talked about how a black man should be tarred and feathered in 2018, you'd be ostracized and would probably lose your job. To be fair, not nearly as bad as some other things said on here.

He won't.. He's a self aggrandizing asshole who tries to insinuate bc we hate Tomlin we hate the color of his skin. Even though the "tarred and feathered" was tossed around when cowher fucked up royally too
But people see what they want to see... Cognitive dissonance is difficult for some irrational people

Yeah Donnie. It’s werid. I’ve said worse about Haley, who is white. Also, tarring and feather was not limited to blacks nor prevelant amongst blacks. Like I said, the most famous occurred in revolutionary times to a white Englishmen. Really weird to see it as racist. Pretty fucked up to not apologize and instead double Down.

Deflect from the debacle by accusing everyone of racism.
Now that's rational and not intentionally incendiary.

Just sucks we don't have injuries to blame.
Oh wait...there's people here that blame the loss on the Spence goal line play. 1 injury is our excuse. Free pass to the coaching staff again.

This is the same board that I had to argue that an effigy of Burfict hanging outside the stadium could be construed as racist as well, so I don't know why I'm surprised.
Okay guys, just think realistically about this. Art II announces tomorrow a tar and feathering ceremony for Mike Tomlin next Friday, where hot tar will be poured on him, feathers shot onto him, and he'll be paraded through the streets of Pittsburgh. You are fucking oblivious if you don't think that will be construed as racist, a horrifying call back from a time we'd like to forget as a country, and anyone who supported the idea would be outed and fired. So yeah, saying this shit on a message board, while not personally offensive to me because I see and read a lot of crazy shit on the Internet and I hate all the outrage in our society today, it can certainly be construed as racist, whether intentional or not. Get over it.

No. People wouldn’t support it because it’s fucked up and illegal. Just because something bad happens to a black person does not mean it’s related to some historic injustice.
You keep ignoring the history and supposing it to be racist. I’d agree with you if someone said Lynch Tomlin. But that isn’t what happened. Just accept it wasn’t racist and move on. You can say it’s in poor taste, but claiming I am racist for it is fucked up.

But here is an example. I don’t know if you are white or black. But I’d support you being tarred and feathered! Of course I’m kidding, but once again demonstrating race isn’t related in anyway but in your head.

Look, if it makes you feel better, I don't think you're a racist. I don't know you from Adam. Just saying call backs to forms of public humiliation that were used including to lynch mobs and the KKK for a black head coach in 2018 can be construed as racist/racially motivated.

Steelers beat 3 playoff teams this year. Vikes. Chiefs. Titans.
Not sure if that means anything....doesnt sound like much but also don't know what other teams have done.
