Our offense would be a hell of a lot better if Andy Reid was coach

I dunno. Saints or Chiefs are better than the steelers best offensive performance this season. Regardless of warts. And the steelers have lost defensive starters.
It ain't lookin' good.

Arguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon. No matter how good you are, the pigeon is going to shit on the board and strut around like it won anyway.
I am content to take it one game at a time like the coaches preach and see what happens. I think we beat Cincy, go 12-2, and win the division. That is a good place to be. I make no judgements about our chances against the Chiefs at this time.

that TD pass to Hardman was pretty sick

These are good teams, no doubt, but I just can’t get on board with watching other teams play and losing my shit over it. Like Polt said, one week at a time. Different weeks and different matchups , bring different results.
While KC and NO gave better offenses, I think the Steelers defense is better than both, even with the injuries.
The biggest issue, as I see it, is that those teams play aggressive with the Football, while we have that get to 3rd down, outdated attrition offense.
If the Steelers can fix their issues, they are as good a team as any in the league.
Unfortunately, I’m not real confident of those issues getting fixed.
I've also seen both Brees and Mahomes make a few WTF throws today. Just about every QB in the league will do that a couple of times a game, usually. And people still meltdown every time Ben has one of those.

On a related note, I don't think we'll be hearing much "Sean McVay is better than Mike Tomlin" chatter this week.Jobu wrote: ↑Sun Dec 20, 2020 11:49 pmThese are good teams, no doubt, but I just can’t get on board with watching other teams play and losing my shit over it. Actually, mahomes reminds me of young BR. Arrogant, fuck you attitude, I'll do whatever it takes, fuck off. And I have the skills to back it up.

Yep. Mahomes just got away with one, and earlier Brees threw into triple coverage in the end zone but the easy interception was dropped.
Two of the worst throws you'll ever see, to be honest. Brees throwing a lollipop into triple coverage was especially awful.

Mahomes can tire a defense out by himself chasing him around trying to get a sack. That's going to really hurt having lost 3 LBers.

Losing to a winless team. So if you're Trevor Lawrence, are you happy or sad now that JAX has the #1 pick? Or don't you care?
At least you could have lived the good life in NYC. Jacksonville is as much of a shithole as it's team.

From a financial standpoint, I'd be thrilled.
New Jersey's income tax is 10.75% for income over $1m. Florida doesn't have an income tax.
Nope I don't kid about the Tomlin-era Steelers, and I'm not just talking about 2020.Pabst wrote: ↑Sun Dec 20, 2020 11:08 pmYou're kidding, right?
The Packers got blown out by the Vikings earlier this year, and they needed to come from behind to beat Jacksonville.
The Chiefs struggled mightily in both Raiders games, needed OT to get past the Chargers, and they trailed at halftime to both Denver and Carolina.

Yeah, as NFL towns for rich twenty year olds go, Jacksonville is about the worst in the league. On the other hand, maybe he's a huge pro wrestling fan.
The income tax thing is a plus.

Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile...
Mahomes just got his clock cleaned...he’s not feeling to good right now.
Excellent point...beachfront house in FL, and spend the offseason in NYC

Oof, Mahomes just got crushed.
Kamara punches it in.
7 point game.

Seems like a defense with a good pass rush could have a good game vs. KC...

I just turned the game on. Brees is 9 for 26. WTF?
Every game referenced above is from this season. The Chiefs struggled big time vs. Denver 2 weeks ago.Obviously wrote: ↑Mon Dec 21, 2020 12:22 amNope I don't kid about the Tomlin-era Steelers, and I'm not just talking about 2020.Pabst wrote: ↑Sun Dec 20, 2020 11:08 pmYou're kidding, right?

The fell behind Miami 10-0 early in last weeks game. As we would say around here, they were "easing into it".
It really does look like Andy Reid is about two years ahead of where NFL defenses are at right now.
