The Steelers go for a bit of a changeup. A player they haven't been remotely connected to, but who I think they could integrate to great success... and I've tried to get him in three other live drafts... to no avail. Well, that changes tonight.
The loss of JuJu Smith-Schuster means they need a boost to both the blocking and receiving threats in the middle of the field. I must be the only one thinking some different personnel grouping would be in their future. I have this player #1 at his position. I may be the only one, but I am steadfast. His size is a huge advantage, and after switching from QB to making his bones as a blocker on the LOS, he transferred and became one of the top receiving threats in his conference and at his position. He reminds me of Eric Green, and that would be a pretty great complement to what the Steelers have in Freiermuth. Oh and what an athlete! He's the weight of TJ Watt, but is taller, faster, more explosive, and about the same elite quickness and agility. He could probably play EDGE rusher if he put his mind to it.
WIth the 93rd pick in the 2022 SteelerFury Mock Draft, the Steelers select:
Jelani Woods, TE, Virginia
6071... 253
4.61 40 (fastest by a player over 6'7" since 2003)
1.57 10yd
37.5 VJ 10'9" BJ
4.20 SS 6.78 3-cone
TJ Watt
Height: 6042
Weight: 252
Zybek PD3X AKA "Official"
40 Yard Dash (ET): 4.69
10 Yard (HH): 1.57
Vertical Jump: 37
Broad Jump: 10'07"
4.13 SS 6.79

1.20 WR Christian Watson, NDSU
2 52 S/NCB Jalen Pitre, Baylor
3.93 TE Jelani Woods, VIrginia

The AFC is absolutely LOADED
Gotta be able to score and stop other teams from scoring
With that in mind let’s draft an athletic PHYSICAL chess piece that ran a 4.39 40, 11.1 Broad and insane 43.5 Vert.
Might want to remember this name Steelers fans. DC in title only Teryl Austin put him through his Pro Day Workout
With the 118th pick in the Steelerfury draft, the Cleveland Browns select Damari Mathis DB Pitt

Browns Draft:
1.) Traded for Deshaun Watson
2.) George Pickens WR Georgia
3.) Channing Tindall LB Georgia
3C) Amare Barno EDGE Virginia Tech
4.) Damari Mathis DB Pitt
