Well of course not. But a wildly egregious error like that isn’t the sole reason we lost that game. That put us in a 7-0 hole like 9 seconds into the game.

We sucked balls for the remaining 59:51 but for #7 trying to claw us back. Coach T the biggest pussy in the world also took the ball out of Ben’s hands and into those of the punter when Ben was trying to win that game.

The defense sure as fuck wasn't the problem last year in the playoffs and the previous year, the offense turned the ball over 5 times. I'd love to know how many times a playoff offense turned the ball over 5 times and won.

My bet is......wait for it.......very few teams win making that many mistakes.

Obviously that was a brainless decision by Tomlin and he deserves all the criticism in the world for it.

I also don't think Tomlin is to blame for 5 turnovers.

At all.

Tomlin blows, but he isn't on the field making those mistakes.
Those mistakes are largely a result of Tomlin's own shitty prep and approach.

Again, 3 playoff wins in 12+ years with a HOF QB and generally above average overall talent. You can count the number of times Tomlin outcoached someone with a better team.

I hate the tapered pants. If it looks bad on Gronk, the rest of us with normal legs have no chance.

Pouncey was showing his age and also showing he had issues with long snaps all season long.

If I may be so bold, it you want to “blame Tomlin” for that, you can blame him for acceding to Ben’s wishes that Pouncey come back again,

He should have been replaced a year or two earlier.

The Browns jizzed all over Tomlin without even having a head coach present.

Tomlin didn’t throw 4 picks and he didn’t snap a ball over Roethlisberger’s head.

I ain’t buying any of those mistakes are on Tomlin and I loathe the guy.

For as good as Mahomes is, games like this make me wonder if he'll age well.

Athleticism and superhuman arm talent won't be there forever
Brady's arm up until last year got better as he got older. The question I have isn't Mahomes, it's Andy Reid, especially if they win it all.

Ok Eagles were ready for the possibility of a Giants’ upset.

It isn’t gonna happen.

Not so fast. If Ben’s steelers were down 14-0 early, i’d expect at least another 40 points of comeback before losing.

You can't put the bad snap on him, but I'd argue that if he hadn't got rid of Haley for the fuckin sphincter Ben wouldn't have thrown 4 picks.

What part of allowing 42 points per game in the playoffs over the last four games didn’t sink in to you? Was it Mahomes doing absolutely anything he wanted throwing for 400 yards and 5 TDs? Was it Baker Mayfield led Browns scoring on their first four drives, Mayfield putting up 3 TD passes and a 115 QB rating despite the team being ravaged with Covid and having no head coach? Was it the Blake Bortles Jags scoring TDs on 3 of their first 4 drives on the way to 45 points? Maybe it was Brady and the Pats scoring in 6 of their first 7 drives while putting up 36 points that you missed.

The Steelers defense quite literally hasn’t stopped anything in those games. Opposing QBs are putting up 110+ QB ratings and the Steelers forced 1 turnover total. Two of the QBs were Bortles and Mayfield. The Steelers are a team built on defense that spends heavily on D. Any other defensive coach with those performances gets fired.

Well, I remember hearing that Ben didn't like Haley and hearing the Ben liked Fichtner, and I remember Ben coming off the field to talk to Fichtner rather than Haley when discussing the next play, so I say BEN got Haley fired and Fich promoted.

Offense made mistakes, they were compounded by the defense failing to make a stop. Last four playoff losses opponents scored on more drives than they punted. Jags put up TDs on 3 of 4 drives. Browns scored at will. Patriots scored on 6 of first 7 drives. Chiefs started a little slow, then absolutely embarrassed our D.

The offense scored 0 points at the half of the KC playoff game and 10 points at the half, against the Browns in the playoffs. A home game.

The defense had to be gassed from being on the field in both of those games, from the offense being unable to sustain any drives and turning it over nearly as many times as the points they scored.

Turnovers are demoralizing. When they come in bunches, you’re done.

Not being able to put up any points against Patrick Mahomes is demoralizing.

Our offense scored 0 points at the half last year in KC

NOT. 1. SINGLE. POINT.

When TJ Watt scores 1 TD and your offense scores 2 TD’s against Mahomes, especially in Arrowhead, you’re done.

Rewatch the first half of that game if you can stomach it and get back to me and tell me that loss is on the defense.

I cannot remember the last time I saw a defensive effort this dominant.

Actually..,this is as complete an effort as I have seen an NFL team put together in some time.

They still surrendered 42 points to the Chiefs, KC.

They played a quarter and a half of good football.

More than the offense did, but still you can’t claim they played well.

When your offense is going 3 and out constantly against a guy like Mahomes, the floodgates ARE going to open.

The defense fought their asses off in the first quarter of that game. Even scoring a TD that I’m sure they hoped would light a fire under the offense.

It didn’t happen.

The offense continued to fail miserably and then Mahomes started carving the defense up.

My point is, the defense had 1 good quarter in that game. A very good quarter.

The offense was awful for 4 quarters.
