of all the guys to blame for the TB game Tomlin is about #9 on the list.
Good one.

Because on a run pass option play, Ben saw a defensive alignment that favored the pass, took it, and it worked?
Whereas he had a run-favorable alignment against Tampa, took it, and it didn't work?
So therefore Mike Tomlin is a bug-eyed fuck?
OK...

If you have to blame a single player blame Decastro for the Tampa loss.
He gets shoved into Bell otherwise it's likely a first down against that box. I would have preferred a more agressive playcall...but to me that was Haley/Tomlin giving there highly thought of G and improving RT there chance to really shine- and DD blew it.

.....and I suppose Mike Tomlin had nothing to do with pooch punting when the Steelers needed a whole fucking yard, with a 7 point lead at home too, right?
Yeah.
You're right.

....and that run/pass option Ben threw on was on 2nd down.
On 3rd down, Roethlisberger was very vocal about not really having the option to throw.
Everybody and their fucking mother knew that if the Steelers didn't end the game on that 3rd down, Tampa Bay was likely going to win.

I had 10,000,000 to 1 at the sports book that Steelers would rip off a 27 yard punt and allow a 60 yard scoring drive in 52 seconds to lose
who didn't know that would happen?

Iirc, all we had to do was soft cover tackle after the 1st down completion like always, and $30m man just falls down. Fucking Haley.

I blame Ben. He shouldn't have played prevent on Tampa's GW drive.

Yeah, our defense looked to be handling the great Mike Glennon and that receiver they found off the street just fine in the second half.

My problem with the run-pass option in that spot was that there were five yards to go.
Any event though, Steelers still should have won....decent punt puts it past midfield, 'bout what....50 seconds left, no timeouts.
