Jesus. Shitty game. I'll take the win and some comfort in knowing the Pens probably won't play much worse from here on out. But shit, i'll be surprised if the Pens don't split the home stand. Line up at Murray's stall, boys, and you might as well keep those knee pads on.

Who replaces Rust in game 4. Do we dare recall Sestito as a deterrent?
This game was INSANE! The Caps outplayed us for the majority of the game - we weren't awful, but we certainly didn't dominate offensive zone time or possession like we did in the second game. And the shot differential was SICK! Murray stole this game for us. Shit, I'm 44 and my knees still shake over a 2 foot putt for $1 - Murray's 21 with the stress of the Pittsburgh up hockey world squarely on his shoulders and he's got ice in his veins. Damn.

Letang's an ass for even thinking of something like that. It's not his game, thank God, and that is what probably limits it to a 1 game suspension - I don't think he's a repeat offender or has a history, but don't quote me on that. Also, Johannsen came right back in - right or wrong, they look at both of those factors. Combine those with the fact that it was much earlier than Orpik's hit and not nearly as head-centric and I think it'll be NK more than 1 game. He better watch his ass out there cause Beigel and his jumping checks, Ovi and his blatant charges, or Wilson with his general thuggery will be looking to run his ass at every opportunity.
I agree with the bolded, but I believe Letang does have some history. Not sure, but for some reason I seem to remember.
Johannsen played the rest of the game and was out there at crunch time --no injury whatsoever. But Letang will still get at least one game - and that will really really hurt us
