I said in this thread I was torn. A big part of me wants as little as possible for Pittsburgh to fall back on tomorrow so they come out gangbusters.
I wasn't saying it was you or anyone really. Generally, bitching and moaning about calls just pisses me off. I'm a little more irritated because I wanted the Bills to win for SBI.
I'm going to go drink some homemade wine before church so I can sleep through the sermon.

SBI - Root for Denver tonight. A three-way tie between Miami, Denver, and Pittsburgh at 10-6 goes to the Steelers.

Calls which affected buffalo scores and scoring chances so blatantly wrong
Calling it for what it is......major influence
Stop arguing the outcome score
Shoukd have been a two score buffalo win

I thought that it would go to Miami since they beat us earlier in the season.

Denver plays tomorrow...after us.

We win out in a three-way tie based on best conference record.
In a three-way tie, head to head doesn't factor in unless one team has a head to head sweep.

Looks like a number two seed isn't going to be in the cards either.
So let's win tomorrow and make Week 17 a mini-bye.
I am not 100% certain but I believe a win tomorrow locks us into the number three seed (I think we beat Houston on SOV).
Which means a victory tomorrow means B2B wins the Great Avatar Bet.

David Carr just left the game with an apparent leg injury.
Don't know how serious it is.

So it's major. Huge loss for the Raiders.
Should provide even more motivation for Pittsburgh to win tomorrow. If they lock into the number three slot and can win the WCG, they'd play the Raiders in the divisional (if the Raiders hang on to win the West).

We could play Matt Moore and then Matt McGloin in the playoffs.
Huge opportunity.

Two quality starting QB's done for the year today. Flacco gets his ass kicked tomorrow then Ravens will look to hurt Ben. Smart playcalling, great OL performance, we're winning the AFCN. We love big games, more to follow.

By video, @derekcarrqb significant high ankle. Best case: ligament tear, multiple wks. Worst case: fracture...
It's also 33-25 with a little more than two minutes left.

But McGloin seals the deal for Oakland with a 19-yard pass to Cooper on 3rd and 8.
Three kneel-downs, and that's all she wrote for the number two seed.

Just getting to this. You seriously think had Miami lost today, that Steelers would make less an effort tomorrow....particularly knowing that Miami would likely need to lose again for Steelers to benefit.

Honest to Christ!! You think Miami winning prompts Steelers to "come out gangbusters?" They wouldn't do so anyway??

Obviously, these suggestions about the Steelers readiness/motivation for tomorrow based on results today are driving me fuckin' crazy. If Steelers win...
*They win their division, likely a #3 seed, and a homage
If a Buffalo win somehow sapped their motivation, it would be based on....
*Miami either losing again, or Denver winning out
*Their opening the playoffs IN Baltimore
Does anyone REALLY think Steelers effort would have waned tomorrow had Bills won today?

Human behavior is honestly hard to predict. I mean the Steelers had the playoffs cinched last year if they beat a downtrodden ravens and they came out Limp dicked. Did their motivation wane then bc they felt they were facing an interior opponent? You could make that argument for sure...

I'm hoping it does.
You do realize that because of Miami's victory today, if the Steelers lose tomorrow and Kansas City beats Denver, the Steelers have exactly one path to the playoffs? And that is- if Baltimore loses to Cincinnati and we beat Cleveland.
If Miami had lost today, all the Steelers would have needed was for them to lose to New England, and they'd still be in with a win over Cleveland.
And Miami losing to the Pats is probable now.

Jeems....I'm well aware of all paths that the Steelers have to the playoffs. Trust me on that. My objection is the suggestion that somehow the Steelers wouldn't give their best effort, would be somehow less motivated had Buffalo won today....particularly when a Buffalo win didn't clinch a playoff spot for the Steelers.

They had this same chance last year, no gave a shitty effort.
Here's hoping they've learned their lesson.
