Monday night football in Nashville

Post by R_S » Fri Aug 08, 2014 3:50 pm

Is anyone making the trip? Or live there? I'm heading down with a buddy of mine. It will be my first time there. Always wanted to check it out. Anymore, the only time I have any desire to shell out cash to the NFL is when there is an away game at a desirable location.

I saw them play a Thursday Night game there in 2012. We got there Wednesday Night and stayed until Sunday Morning, well worth the time. The Broadway strip downtown rocks at night! Live bands in every bar, no covers, strip bars if your into that, drinking as you walk down the street. Even a Steelers bar down there, decorated "Pittsburgh", modeled after Primanti's, called Pirhana's, I'd go down Friday Night and spend the weekend, you'll enjoy it for sure.

I'm shelling out cash to the NFL this year. Not pleased but doing it.

Bought 5 tix to the Sunday Nighter vs Baltimore in Pitt.
The Steelers are among the NFL’s worst teams in total offense (30th) and total defense (28th). Highest paid defense in the league by far. We are lucky to have Mike Tomlin.

I haven't been to a game down there, but was there for a weekend trip back in April. Nashville rocks. We were down in the Broadway district at the honkey tonks starting about 11:00 am on the Saturday. Every damn place was almost full already, killer live music and smokin' hot chicks everywhere. Definitely going back again!

Thats what I'm talking about KC. They inflate the hell out of hotel prices on NFL weekends, but if you ever want to find away around that. Check out airbnb and just rent an apartment for the weekend. That's what we are doing and the places you can find are better than most hotel suites you could book. Read the customer reviews. Avoid if there are no reviews.

Just booked a 1 bedroom apartment, hardwood, granite, for 3 nights for $380

R S's travel tip of the day.

Good venue away game, Titan fans not too hostile. Parking is a nightmare, Renaissance new Omni & national chain suites on 3rd & Union still have rooms, book soon, walk bridge to LP. Hotel parking $25-40 per day. Lot of great food & bev SoBro & Bway. Should be lot of Steeler fans. I'll be there with friends & fam. Also Atl & prob Charlotte.

Nash has more than its share of beautiful woman. Atl & Charlotte not that far behind.

Thanks for the heads up RS. I actually just started doing rentals at a place in SoCal that I visit frequently. Much better prices, amenities and better for a larger group of people too! The site I used was VRBO.com.

there are a few sites out there now. I've had great luck with airbnb. Rented a nice apartment a stones throw from the Adriatic see in Croatia for 65 USD two bedrooms and a loft. Anyway, if you've never used it before, PM me your email and I can send you a way to get $25 off your first booking when you sign up.
