LeVeon Bell celebrates 1st downs because he is a role model

Post by Steelperch » Tue Sep 30, 2014 6:16 pm

Read from bottom to top. Bell celebrates first downs because he's a role model to kids, and Ladainian Tomlinson did it.
LeVeon Bell @L_Bell26 · 27s 27 seconds ago

it is not to disrespect or down grade the other team, I LOVE the game of football and I play the game with honor and respect...

it's because I know I can motivate a kid to drive & push like I did when I was that age, & go reach their dream! so I will continue to do it

cuz I know there are kids who look upp to and love LeVeon Bell, the way I loved Ladainian Tomlinson! it's not to "show boat"

I say fuck a lot because my grandfather said fuck a lot and I looked up to him. I know my kids look up to me and the only way I can motivate them is to say fuck a lot.

How many of these guys go to college (some graduate) and still sound like they're in 3rd grade?

Adrian Peterson beats the living crap out of his kids with tree branches to motivate them to become big and strong like him so they can beat their kids with tree branches.

So this is a clear illustration of Mike Tomlin not doing his job. You've got an arrogant and sloppy bunch of players that excessively celebrate basic plays like first downs and tackles. They scream at officials, and the coach condones it in his press conference by saying he would have done the same thing if he was on the field. No, he doesn't take any hard stand against what has become a systemic problem, instead only promises to address it if it becomes a BIGGER issue.

Not but two hours later his star player is defiantly tweeting out that he won't stop the antics because he is a role model to kids. What was needed here was a zero tolerance policy. Not because celebrating a little in an emotional game is bad, but because the team has a massive discipline problem. Make this as an example area of self control and eliminate all of the bullshit antics. Use it as a teaching point. Nope, not Tomlin. Shit will continue year after year and he'll not be able to figure out why.

I'm excited for this generation of young Le'Veon Bell fans to grow up so I can watch them celebrating when the traffic light turns green as smoke pours out the windows of their car.

No shit, how have I not experienced this?

I'll be checking that out when I get home. I'm sure my wife knows that one!

She gets me every time and I can't help but to burst into laughter when out of the blue she'll come out with, I told so and so to "suck my dick!" Hell, she's said that to me before and I die laughing every time.

On their face, I have no problem with Bell's comments.

In a league where it costs your team yards, you don't do it.

The whole "no fun league" thing is bullshit (see Abdullah's celebration penalty last night), but that doesn't make hurting your team the right thing to do. If you asked LT, a consummate pro his whole career, whether he would have done the same situation, he'd say hell no. I'm trying to win the game.
Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile...

From the tone of the postgane PC-- yes. He's in disbelief right now that his players are so selfish and lacking in self control.

He certainly sets the tone of team and self control, so it isn't something players are picking up from his example. He pulls aside even his star players to tell them what they did was unacceptable... I think he's done quite a lot even as far as what you can see from the outside-- his players are just a bunch of paper champion, selfish, every man for himself types.
