Whose worse Haley or Butler ??

Post by stinger8 » Sun Jan 14, 2018 9:29 pm

One coordinator scored 42 points, one allowed 38 points (+7 off of turnover).

It's not clear cut, cause 1 coordinator has ALL the toys (Ben, Bell, Brown), the other has to play with Dupree(   ) Mitchell etc.

I would have to say objectively (with apologies to Haleys 9 iron who is also very objective    ) that Butler actually did a significantly worse job than Haley. Even though he does not have the tools at his disposal that Haley does, he allowed 38 points to Blake fuckin Bortles, who without a doubt is the worst QB playing in the playoffs.

Lets face it the defense was horrifically bad today, Butler did not scheme to make the Jags put the ball in the air and have Bortles beat them. That was the biggest factor in this game.

As an aside, Dupree is soooo bad it is beyond comprehension. Me I cut him in a day or two. He is as soft as baby shit and the fact he is here and #92 will be putting on a super bowl ring is kind of fitting.

Honestly?

Time for Lake and Porter to go.

Need something loser to Munchak quality for OLB and Secondary.

How many explosive passing plays must we endure before we change position coaches?

Maybe I'm way off base, here.

What happened to the D-line? I thought that Heyward-Hargrave-Tuitt was supposed to be a real strength. But despite the accolades for Heyward, they still haven't hit the Smith-Hampton-Keisel / VonOelhoffen level.

Bad day whenever the dline disappears.

Heads really need to roll.

Stability only matters if significant progression in shoring up weaknesses is made.

It was a weak 13-3. When you have 4 game ending FGs to win them.
Finally retired: 31DEC25

He finally quit: 13JAN26

They won squeakers over luminaries such as Deshone Kizer, Jacoby Brisette, and Brett Hundley.

Tough call...butler has less talent to work with and still managed to set a record for sacks in a season. Right now I feel like his unit screwed the pooch more so I'll say butler

I agree. See Haley who is, I agree, unlikable has like "super stats" every where he coaches. He took Arizona, as an OC to a super bowl, designed a unit that set records, redefined the game etc etc. In fact his offense out performed ours in that game, then a guy we recently cut made a record breaking play for a huge game changing touchdown to save us. Haley is better than Butler and that is a main reason we just wasted another chance a super bowl. We have preciously few maybe none left in this era.

Todd Haley’s playcalls when we got the ball inside midfield after a blocked punt:

Bell run...Bell run...Bell run...failed pass to JuJu on 4th and a foot (although Ben may have checked to that).

That is Todd Haley in big spots.

And it is Mike Tomlin in big spots.

They never...EVER...want to take risks.

Until they have to.

Jeemie we scored 42 fuckin points, 42 points. Against the #1 defense in the NFL. "But but on this series we fucked up"..... So what????? Does Brady have success on every series???? FUCK NO. I seriously hope someone watches this game ans says hey that OC put up 42 on Jville lets hire his ass. I hope he leaves so I can hear the excuses next year why the offense is sputtering

Are you fucking kidding with this?!
There’s one reason the Pittsburgh Steelers started this game looking like complete buffoons, and dug themselves into a hole too deep to crawl out of:
The foolish arrogance of one Mike Fucking Tomlin, and how it’s perceived, emulated by, and encouraged from a bunch of entitled brats.

Please check the date of this post, then laugh at it some more...

I am done with this site until the Steelers organization pulls its collective head out of its collective ass and is done with Mikey T.

I’m getting too old for all the needless frustration, excuses, and empty, foolish arrogance...

Best to all y’all.

Our last two playoff losses were complete and utter collapses on D.
So in the battle of who sucks less, I still give Haley the slight edge.

At some point the buck needs to stop at the HC.
