Bell free agency rumors (merged)
I bet a small $10 donation to this board that Bell ends up going to Oakland. Would anyone be surprised at that?

I will send an autographed STD 2011 Draft Guide (authored by STD) to the Fury Museum if he signs w Oakland.
Anyone know who the curator is?
Anyone know who the curator is?
They have $70M to spend, so gotta spend some of it somewhere.
Now Bell and AB are not the players I would do this with, but you could give them big signing bonuses and front-loaded, then turn around and trade them next year....basically converting cap into draft picks.

BTW, if I was building a young team there's no way I'd want Bell or AB in my locker room.

KGB tweeted today Bell was going to the Ravens. I think Jets are front runners, best place to start his rap career.

Ravens is my guess. Jets is a possible spot. Think I'd put the raiders odds somewhere between those 2.
Don't really get what the Raiders are doing. Last year they didn't have enough money to pay Khalil Mack and Amari Cooper so they trade 'em away, look like they're going the long rebuild route, then they trade for AB, a 31-year-old WR and give him a ton of cash, and a rumored for Bell?

It could happen. Not sure why Raider Nation is so jubilant though. They'll have these guys for one year and then their team is ripping them out from under them and moving them to a different city and state. I know me, the Steelers could move to Harrisburg, State College, Williamsport, Altoona or Swissvale and they would be dead to me. I'm a Steeler fan because I'm a Pittsburgh fan.
If they ain't in Pittsburgh, I don't give a shit. These dumb ass fans in Oakland act like they'll continue to have passion for the Las Vegas Raiders. The org is RIPPING YOUR HEARTS OUT dumb asses.
Back to the thread topic. Bell could grow an "ALREADY Done" Hulk Hogan Bleach Stash too. I wonder if Bell has already ordered his merch from Browns "Boomin" page on instagram. Bell can get his (good for one year only) Oakland Raider $38.00 Boomin teeshirt:

It'd be so awesome to have another team swoop in and offer to match AB's deal but give Steelers a bit more compensation and for AB to have to undo all that shitposting.

Let them sign Bell and even trade for OBJ
Mahomes and Rivers are going to put up 50 each on that vaunted Raiduh’s D
AB will have 8-126 1 TD
Final score
Raiders 17
KC 52
AB is all smiles in the locker room and goes home to make another baby!

Not sure if AB will ever have a stat of 8-126 1td again! Not with Carr and most likely not with who they replace him with next year. AB will have less than 60 catches next year is my best bet. He won't come close to 1000 yards! Glad he likes his money cause he sure as hell don't care about anything else, that is until he has 2 catches for 26 yards in 3 consecutive game, then watch the water cooler fly! It just might be more fun to watch than any NFL game on tv

That's crazy talk. He's still elite getting separation against double teams, and Carr had a 68.9% completion percentage last year. I'm not sure his targets drop all that much, but I think Carr won't be able to make a couple of the throws Ben does routinely. He's also going to find it tougher sledding with the rest of the talent around him and Carr vs. the Steelers.
I'd establish the over/under as:
85 catches
1100 yards
8 TD's
Those numbers would be a serious blow to his ego, and status as a top-5 receiver.

Damn, these rumors have seemed to pick up steam. Akbar Gbajibamila called the AB to Oakland signing a couple of days before it happened. He’s been on Bell to the Ravens as well. I’ve seen a few others hint at it.
How would you feel about this? Happy to see the Steelers get two cracks a year at him, or this is the final dagger in the shittiest offseason ever?

The best part of this rumor
1 year deal less than 9 million dollars

Option 2. This has been my concern since last playoffs when I realized this team needs a legit back to go with the running qb offense, especially one thats a threat in passing game...and would have tons of cap room esp after the inevitable release/trade of flaCco.
Worst offseason tho? We've had some bad ones. But could be.

100% Guaranteed, tho?
I think Bell makes them easier to defend. Seems like all of their threats will be near the LOS.

I can’t see where his $16 million per year demands are going to come from. Big man net contracts flew around like crazy today. Lots of the lie is eaten up. NYJets maybe if they get desperate get close. I think he’ll struggle to get what the Steelers offered him last year and he’ll never make up the $14.5 he pissed away in 2018.
JuWan James deal
Four years worth $51 million, he will get $32 million guaranteed as he becomes the highest-paid right tackle in the league.
Holy fuck are you kidding me

The Cardinals giving up a 6th for Marcus Gilbert is looking better all the time.

We’ve got like 2 dudes on the defensive side of the ball that can tackle, so no, I’d prefer to not go against him twice a year.
Would love to see some shitty numbers as part of his deal, tho.

Can't muster up too much fear for a 30 year old RB with bad knees who hasn't played organized football since 2017.
Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile...

Hope it does.
Hope the citizens of Pittsburgh pick up torches and run Art Day 2 out of town.

Other than possibly not leveraging bell more, I can't find a reason to get the pitchforks out, as much as I wouldn't like the result.
Bell wanted what, $60M guaranteed? If he gets considerably less, steelers obviously did the right thing in not paying it.

The bolded. I have zero football concerns about where Bell goes.
