Post by Steelafan77 » Mon Dec 31, 2018 2:08 am

@SteelersPRBurt
#Steelers 2019 opponents:
Home – Baltimore, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Buffalo, Miami, winner of IND/TEN game, Seattle, L.A. Rams
Away – Baltimore, Cincinnati, Cleveland, New England, New York Jets, L.A. Chargers, Arizona, San Francisco
-Dates/times to be announced in April https://twitter.com/SteelersPRBurt/stat ... 5533155329

So NFC West and AFC East....wow a lot of air miles next season.

Thinking a possible 9-6 win in Arizona. So, 1-2 seems right.

Frisco ain't no joke and they should have Crapolo back to boot. That one may be a nailbiter.

9-7 still won't have a losing season....

Pretty sure they've faired poorly the past couple times they've visited the Jets. At least the times I've been there

Put me down for 9-5-2. Tomlin makes big improvements.

The biggest reason we did not make the playoffs,
Clear as day,
Was the loss to the Raiders.
Mike Tomlins entire coaching deficiency tree in full color, all wrapped up into one game.

Over looking an inferior opponent.
A team that was 2-12.
A team that traded away their best defensive player and possibly their best offensive player.
Looking ahead to the Patriots, beacuse once again "Thats the game everybody is looking at"

Comfortable with the flow of the game with a 4 point lead and back up QB, while Hof QB is watching on sideline.
Mind you, comfortable with flow of game meant comfortable with 4 straight brutal drives, including an INT. That's a fireable logic and quote in itself.
Looking to run the clock out and not giving team best possible chance to score more points.
Waits till we fall behind, before the obvious and inevitable....Ben comes back in the game. Only, only, because we lost the lead.
The failure of his teams defense to hold a lead.
The failure to understand game/clock management. And failure to give his offense the best possible chance to score again.
Let's clock run down from 1:53 to :25 seconds before calling time out.
Then calls time out after incomplete pass.
Miss communication issues on 4th down coverage with wide open TD.
Leaves his team :15 seconds.
Could have had 40-50 more seconds to move ball closer, score a TD, if only he had peewee football level clock management skills.

Cant even recall if there was a bad challenge in this game or a non challenge that should have been, as i have lost track of the ineptitude of his challenges.

That being said.
I do not see the Raiders.on the 2019 schedule.
Last 5 years we missed the playoffs, included a loss to Raiders.
So yes.
No Raiders.

Playoffs in 2019

We're not even one day removed from being bitch slapped by inferior teams and we're predicting our playoff hopes for next year :-)

Happy New Year! :-)

Exactly!!! I am sitting here saying "Playoffs.....Playoffs??" in my best Jim Mora voice. So long as Coach Chew on This is still running the show, expect the same as this year.
