Hell...gun to head, I have a hard time believing they even make the play in game, let alone playoffs or WS. Too much needs to fall in to place...just too much missing.

Neal did nothing to improve the team.
Backsliding is what should have been expected.
Looks like my initial prediction back in March of about 82-84 wins is going to be spot on unless they completely fold.
And I think if they get 84 wins, they are 1-2 games short of a playoff berth.

I think the Pirates are actually going to get the second wild card. Which they'll lose.....most likely because of a bullpen meltdown. And the sheep will be happy enough with that outcome that they will let the front office off the hook even though it should be obvious to everyone that this year the division was extremely winnable.

The way they're playing now, though, 13-12 is the most I can hope for in the last 25.

Last year they were better than the sum of their parts, this year they’re closer to just being the sum of their parts.
Sham, this pretty much sums it up.
Biggest problem is the bullpen.
Second biggest problem is that we haven't been able to rely on what should have been our top 3 rotation guys for the most part of the season--Cisco has come on, but he sucked early. Charlie was so damn inconsistent and then went out yet again with injury. Cole, to me, has been the biggest disappointment. He looks like anything but a stud ace. He looks like a #2 maybe. Might be a down year, but we'll see. yesterday's game--fuck. He needs to hold that lead.
I think we have a lot of holes, but things can change. If things come together for the last month, you never know what can happen.
