Both full participants. That's kind of surprising because I'm not sure they've even been limited participants?
And it was sounding like both were going to be out at least another week or two.

Juju yes, Conner no. Conner was a limited participant all of last week. Granted, alot of that is probably due to a knee vs. shoulder injury
There was an interesting article over on Steeler Depot where they talked about how Conner could see a playing time escalator kick in for Conner if he plays the rest of the season. He may have missed too much time and endangered his chances of getting this pay increase, I have no idea if it is still relevant.
This has happened a number of times over the past few seasons, Big Al and Jesse James both got paid more for their increased playing time.
With Conner, he has a chance of going from some $700k next season to $2.1 million.
So, Conner has all the motivation in the world to come back and play. Not just to help his team keep winning and make the playoffs, but also that he stands to triple his salary next season.
I know Conner is this polarizing figure with Steeler fandom but I like him and I don't know how you can argue that he wouldn't help the team. 21 games played, 19 TDs. Show me the RBs currently on the team that are giving us that production?
Yeah, he has had injuries but to me they are a result of him playing a physical style of game and his body can't cash those checks. It isn't like he is out of shape and pulling a hamstring or dealing with a lot of soft tissue injuries. It is sort of like with Mcdonald, he plays with a reckless physical style and it takes it toll on his body too. But when they are on the field they can help you win games.
To me having Conner back would be a big boost and doesn't mean you send Benny Snell to the bench never to return. You play both, you play Samuels and Whyte too. It has always been one of Tomlin's biggest failings that he puts too much on one bell cow running back, when he should spread the wealth, keep Conner fresh, keep them all fresh.
I look at ILB, the Bush, Barron and Williams trio has worked out wonderful this year. Why can't Tomlin look at the RB situation and do the same damn thing?

He’s been doing the same thing now that Connor is hurt.
But he’s doing it because he has to.
Tomlin to me is simply lazy in his thought process. No Connor or bell cow back then he gets creative and mixes guys in to get the job done.
Has a “feature” back he ends up ignoring everyone else.
Rinse repeat.

Not sure how to feel about this. I think JuJu and JC are great players and we need them. However, I worry that we will lose the diversity of options that it feels like has kept this O afloat.
Who knows. I will put my faith in Tombert and ride the wave.

I'm not sure this is good news. Having the Ju back is great and all, but I'm not sure that it will add anything worthwhile to this offense. Ben can make the throws to hit him while covered. I'm afeared that Rudolph is, well, too afeared to try. Duck on the other hand, I believe gives zero fucks, and will fire at will at whatever the fuck he deems to be the appropriate target at the time. I'm not sure, pessimistic actually, that he has the arm talent to make these throws. I surely hope I am wrong. if it's just incomplete, then no harm no foul really, but an int with this level of ineptitude on the O can, and likely would be a killer in most games.

Whyte should continue to get some carries he does have the big play ability.

That 2 yard TD throw in the end zone to DJ might put your worries to bed....but I agree with what your saying. However, Duck’s arm is better than MR’s.Lynch wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2019 2:22 amI'm not sure this is good news. And by the way it is up to the WRs too...they need to drive like maniacs into the secondary to allow for these “NFL” throws! I think JuJu can do it with his size and catch radius.
That makes me want him to start.steelmann58 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2019 2:23 amWhyte should continue to get some carries he does have the big play ability.

Conner has missed so much time I think we're pretty comfortable playing without him. Juju on the other hand needs to get his ass back on the field. The WR core can be decent with him out there. The lineup is pretty scary without him. If I never see Holton on the field again it will be too soon.
Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked Griffith, “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”
Just may have been the most impressive 2 yard pass I’ve ever seen...That 2 yard TD throw in the end zone to DJ might put your worries to bed....

I don't know. On the one hand, you don't send players out unless the team doctor's judge they are ready to play. On the other hand, if the Steelers beat Buffalo, the chances of getting into the playoffs are almost a lock. Lose to Buffalo and Steelers will likely need help to get in.
We need Conner to suit up and go berserker.

Apparently JuJu reaggravated his knee injury. He won't be playing Sunday night.

Well damnation, I'm not sure who we can accurately hold responsible, but I blame the Germans.
I love JuJu but why rush him back when we he obviously wasn't ready?
Fuck.
Fuck.

How much longer do we need to put up with this assholes offensive bullshit?
Trying to be patient, but hard not to think about moving on from Juju and Conner.

I know I'm going to regret this, but those who are hopelessly vulgar often mistake the reactions of decent men for hypersensitivity.
Because you're such a douchebag, you have a hard time seeing what the standard for appropriate behavior is.
Look at it this way: rash people think the courageous are cowardly. So the vulgar think the decent are prudish.
Happy holidays.

Well, we need to win 2 of our last 3, so it's kind of now or never. And with Connor, they apparently don't know until his shoulder takes some real contact.
Starting to wonder if either is going to play again this year.

When someone makes an unsolicited and overtly racist comment then personal attacks toward them are warranted.
Then they flaunt it by insulting those that don’t appreciate their childish remarks.
What they are really doing is slapping you in the face B2B as they know nothing will happen to them.
People have been banned MUCH faster for political debate.
Racist comments (at least IMO) are far worse and should illicit a harsher and more swift punishment.
For whatever reason the pillow biter has a hall pass here.
He, she, it doesn’t even attempt legit post.
But whatever.
