First pass a little off target gets his receiver injured.
Second pass a weak quick out thrown directly to 1 of 4 defenders in the area.

LOL. This is like watching a comedy about a bad football team.
I take back what I said about him being better than Duck and Mason. It's not even close.

Not a good showing for Landry....
Not good football in general. I watched punt returners on both teams fall down trying to catch the ball.

I tried to watch last week, but it couldn’t keep my interest. It’s garbage football. They’re trying to sell the gimmicks, and that will keep the curious interested for a while, but eventually, everyone wants a quality product. This ain’t it.

Donald Parham, on the other hand, looks like he should be playing in a higher league. He's been really good the first two weeks.
Although Mason struggled plenty, I'll take him over Landry Jones 7 days a week and twice on Sunday.

Greg Olsen might be one helluva Tight End, but he's a TERRIBLE announcer.
His voice is like nails on a chalkboard.

I disagree with most––I'm enjoying watching it, just as I enjoyed the AAF.
The QB play has been mixed, but I could see Cardale Jones being an upgrade of sorts and even Laundry has advanced protection and formation adjustment skills, which is no small thing. He looked rusty as hell today.
One thing to keep in mind: this is like preseason game #2 with teams who have never played together before and coaches who have never coached them. The quality of play this week was way better than last week's play.
I think the level of players is better than the East-West Shrine game, for example.

I saw a bit of Jones play. From this untrained eye, he looked a bit more comfortable than most of the XFL QB's I've seen, but he did throw a boneheaded INT. Whatever. I hope he finds success from those years behind BR to help him.
Arguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon. No matter how good you are, the pigeon is going to shit on the board and strut around like it won anyway.
His second throw of the game was dropped by the DB or it would have been a pick-6. One of the worst throws I've ever seen.

I'll take Cardale on the Steelers yesterday vs. what we trotted out last season.
Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile...
The officiating is better, they let a lot of trivial shit go and the refs stay pretty invisible. And the replay system is way, way, way better, they only have maybe 3-4 reviews per game total, no challenges, and they seriously keep the reviews to less than one minute, the officiating and replay is far superior to the NFL, that alone makes it more watchable than the NFL.bradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Mon Feb 17, 2020 3:47 amI disagree with most––I'm enjoying watching it, just as I enjoyed the AAF.

I was thinking that myself? He's not on any team and we sign Duck? He seems pretty good in the XFL. Good size, mobility and arm strength.
I also felt like why di we let Eli Rogers go and kept Johnny Holton and Ryan Switzer?
I know it was written that we couldn't sign Laundry when Ben went down because he was already contractually obligated to the XFL. Perhaps Cardale was the same issue? No idea how it works in regards to next season, either.

Standard XFL contracts block signing with the NFL until the XFL season ends.
Mike Tomlin: Bringing mediocrity to the 'Burgh for over a decade.
Wouldn't hurt to cast a wide net looking for a backup QB. I know they're on a bit of a shoestring, budget-wise, and, well, draft pick-wise. This is where the Pens sneak a guy like John Marino and keep right on humming.
Come on, Steelers. What we saw from that position last year was far from respectable.

Does everyone realize that Terrell Pryor could have been BOTH our 2nd best QB and 3rd best receiver last year? Hell, probably even our 3rd best running back.
