It will be interesting to see how Sully will counter the trap.
Montreal is getting away with a lot of clutching.

Oh look, they finally call a penalty on Montreal.
This should be the Pens third PP, not the first.
It's not the tight checking that is bothersome but rather that the Canadians have been allowed to obstruct players without the puck all period.

17 Shots on goal, that is offense.
Price was the best player on the ice that period and that is saying something because Malkin was flying all period.
Letang has to be better on the PP. With open looks he has to get his shot on goal, he must get that done.
On the top PP Zucker is my third option for that guy in front of the net. Horny is a master there and Guentzel is better as well.

I agree Fractal - Hornquist has to be the net front presence on the power play. He lives for that shit and just as a sense about where the puck might go once it hits the mass of humanity in front of the net.

Hornqvist looks like he’s 60 years old out there.
Sheary has been terrible all night.
The Pens stars need to be more noticeable. They seem to disappear for long stretches of the game.

Not sure anyone is keeping track, but that is our 7th straight playoff loss LOL.
Sheary dragged down the 1st line all night. Terrible. Malkin was also noticeably off. Hopefully a ton of rust needing to knocked off.

Read an interesting comment. The “rust” that everyone needs to shake off is the real opponent this round. Best of 5 is going to go quick, and if players like Malkin, Sheary and McCann look that worthless the next few games, we will lose. Carey Price is too good to get blown out, and the Habs are the biggest underdog probably aside from Arizona. This plays right into Carey Price winning this damn series for the Habs, because why not? The Pens haven’t won’t a playoff game in like 2+ years.

Boucher was saying that, but Malkin had a ton of SOG and scoring chances.
Sheary showing the same warts in playoff hockey that got him shipped out of town: weak on the puck, chokes on great chances.
Immediately after the save on Sheary's breakaway, I'm not sure how Crosby didn't score. It looked like he had a 2/3 open net and somehow it bounced around and didn't go in.
It's only one loss––mind you tough in a short series--they just need to keep peppering the puck on net and get some of those pucks to go in.

How long do you wait to pull Sheary off the top line? If he plays like that next game, even for a period, I’d place his ass firmly on the bench.
Part of the issue is that Crosby sets his line and he wants Sheary at this point. So on he stays.
