Steelers opener predictions
I say at Cleveland Sunday or Monday night. Probably be another ass beating to start the season.
It will be interesting. Don't love divisional games so early, but that could be right.
I know the Browns are supposed to win the Super Bowl (again), but let's see how the games go this year before crowning them (again).

Opening a can of whup ass on a mother fucker.
I would imagine the league would love to have us open against Cleveland. Rewind that game for 3rd time back to back to back for us.

The Steelers are the only team in the NFL not to open at home ONCE in the last 7 years. Guess who has opened at home the most...the Pats*
What a fucking joke.

The Antonio Brown ninja-kick game was the last time the Steelers played at home Week 1
It's because, you know, as Steelers fans we travel so well. So, we don't really need a home opener like the rest of the league does......Jobu wrote: ↑Wed May 12, 2021 2:43 pmWow, I never realized this. Not getting home openers is a bummer…especially for fans. And of course, it is part of the conspiracy to keep the Cheats looking pretty (SARCA). But all things considered, I think I’d rather open on the road and close at home, if I had do choose.
End of a season. Tight race. Fighting for a playoff spot. Offense fading down the stretch (as it always does). Gimme a home game to close, because we just might win it and get that last wildcard spot. So we can hurry up and go on the road to get our butts kicked by the Browns or the Texans or someone nearly as inconsequential as we are.

If we make playoffs this year, we will actually win a playoff game. Because with the schedule we’ll probably be a better team than our record shows.
Add to that the likelihood of more fans later in the season.Quixotic wrote: ↑Wed May 12, 2021 3:36 pmNot getting home openers is a bummer…especially for fans. Browns at KC...so that helps
Ravens At Raiders....not a gimme.
I agree. The glaring issue is that the steelers consider the first game of the season as another preseason game. They need to be more prepared, regardless.Quixotic wrote: ↑Wed May 12, 2021 3:36 pmNot getting home openers is a bummer…especially for fans. Seriously, I've seen many of your posts and I know you can do better than that.
Since the Steelers last opened at home there have been 5 teams that won the Supe Bowl (NE won 3 plus Denver, Philly, KC and Tampa). That means 27 have NOT won a championship during that time and yet 26 have hosted a season opener at least once.
I have no idea why the Steelers will have opened on the road 7 years in a row but there is not a link between that and not having won a Super Bowl during that time.

Could it be just a local scheduling conflict and management does not want to complain? Also, shouldn't they get the last game at home if they do not get to host the first game and wouldn't that be more advantageous?Stillerz Bar wrote: ↑Wed May 12, 2021 11:02 pmReally? So we’ll find out by about play 3 if Cam Sutton is a starting CB in the league
