Gimme a home game to close, because we just might win it and get that last wildcard spot. I agree. The glaring issue is that the steelers consider the first game of the season as another preseason game. They need to be more prepared, regardless.

Since the Steelers last opened at home there have been 5 teams that won the Supe Bowl (NE won 3 plus Denver, Philly, KC and Tampa). That means 27 have NOT won a championship during that time and yet 26 have hosted a season opener at least once.

I have no idea why the Steelers will have opened on the road 7 years in a row but there is not a link between that and not having won a Super Bowl during that time.

Could it be just a local scheduling conflict and management does not want to complain? Also, shouldn't they get the last game at home if they do not get to host the first game and wouldn't that be more advantageous?
