While what Gruden said in his emails is wrong and certainly unacceptable (especially in today's world), if you don't think/realize Goodell is behind this story seeing daylight you're greatly mistaken. I do agree with a lot of what you wrote, though.

I guess with all of this we are so quick to jump to something is "ist" that we never stop and ask: "How is the impacting the real world." It could be reasonable to assume that based on what Gruden says, Gruden asks in a certain way. But that is an assumption; not a fact.
