Post by rooneytunes » Wed Dec 01, 2021 10:17 pm

Vs Baltimore L----No Watt
At Vikings W---No Cook
Vs Tennessee. W--- No Henry
At Chiefs. L---- Will get smoked
Vs Browns. W- Monday Night
At Baltimore W ---- Ravens resting maybe

9-7-1. Miss playoffs again by 1/2 game but season goal reached which everyone knows what that is.

If we miss the playoffs because we tied the Lions with Mason Rudolph…well I don’t really know what I will think because my head will have exploded.

If so, then anything can happen.

I can see them losing out, or somehow winning to make it to 9 or 10 wins. I know I am going to watch every pain staking minute of the rest of the season, I don't take Sunday's off 😉

In the end I tell myself following this team the way I do is just a hobby. Got to take the ups with the downs.

I get upset but man not like I used to. Titans loss in 2002 playoffs I went outside and hit a tree with a baseball bat a million times lol

I'm a Coyotes fan. Former season ticket holder. I haven't watched a game this season because they burned the team to the ground tanking for draft picks and may have the worst roster in NHL history. I can't watch them knowing they need to lose. Can't root for that. Can't do it with the Steelers either. When I turn the game on, I'll be rooting for them to win, especially against the hated Ravens. If it gets to the point I want them to lose, I'll be turning it off for the season. Had to put my 13 year old dog down a few days ago. I could really use some joy in my life right now. Probably not going to come from sports Happy fucking holidays.
Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked Griffith, “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”

Sorry to hear about your dog. People who don’t own pets don’t understand they are family…we have a 12-year old Pomeranian who I can’t even imagine being without although I know how it ends.

Again sorry for your loss. Def not easy.

We also have a Pom, he's 15, I fear it's getting close. He has a collapsed trachea which causes him to do this God awful cough. I love the little bugger. 28 years of dogs have been great but putting them down is horrible. We also have a Cane Corso who's 3, most stubborn dog I have ever owned, but love him to death.

Thank you. Looking him in the eye and petting him while he died was horrible but I wasn't going to let him go without being right there with him. I had a black Lab that made it to 13 with similar issues, legs giving out, not being able to stand. I know I'm lucky with two dogs making it that long back to back taking up most of my adult life but that didn't make it any easier. Dude was a blue Weimaraner. Weims have such unique personalities. Couldn't ask for a better companion. House is so empty without him. Hope your pup holds on for many more years. You're right. People that don't have pets and love them don't get it. No kids for me. He was my kid.

Too much rah rah watching an absolute miserable product.

Yes, we're both fans, but i would have a pretty hard time watching games with you.

I have a good friend that cannot say ANYTHING bad about our team or head coach, makes me sick to be quite honest.

This is coming off maybe the most embarrassing loss i have ever seen sans the playoff loss last year. Both games were over a few minutes in.

Since we can’t stop the run, I can easily see us losing out from here. If you can’t stop the run, you can’t build a lead. You can’t own the clock. You can’t come from behind. You have to score on pretty much every possession, just to stay in the game. And even in our best days, our offense couldn’t do that against top tier teams. How many times have we rung up 20+ points in a half, only to lose by 4-7 points? Seems like a pretty common occurrence in the Tomlin portion of the Ben era.

Remo, man, so sorry for the loss of your Weim. I know it's really tough. :(

I know your recent pain all too well. I just put my 8 year 8 month old Golden boy, Indy, down just before midnight Monday night. He was diagnosed with heart cancer several weeks ago and I just found out it had just spread to his liver and spleen. He was the way too young to go. He was my best friend -- only dog/pet people will probably understand that.

It's hard to get through this because everywhere I turn he should be there and now he's not; causing our house and hearts to feel so empty. I'm trying to focus on all of the amazing joy and unconditional love he brought to me, my family and every other person and animal he met. All dogs are special, Goldens in particular (to me) because of how sweet, and generous they are with their love to all that meet them. Indy was the best and I'll miss him dearly.

Sorry to both of you guys experiencing pet loss. I totally get it.

I have an 11 yr old border collie/beagle named Crosby. I've had this dog since she was 6 months old (rescue).

This is the 1st dog that I've been able to fully train on my own without having to "share" her. Her personality and demeanor fit me and my family's lifestyle perfectly and I don't even want to think of what lies ahead. I told my boss that I will probably take a week off when that time comes- she has been with me through so much. It's just so hard to even fathom...

Thanks Remo. He really didn't suffer much at all...just an hour or so of some stress towards the very end. Even if he did, he never whimpered once or any other signs of real pain. He was so brave. Making sure he didn't live with pain was goal #1 for me. #2 was making sure he knew how loved he was and 3# was having him pass in the safety and comfort of his home with family beside him. It's the least I could do for him after what he gave to us so unconditionally throughout his life.

I'm trying to focus on all of the amazing joy and unconditional love he brought to me, my family and every other person and animal he met. All dogs are special, Goldens in particular (to me) because of how sweet, and generous they are with their love to all that meet them. Indy was the best and I'll miss him dearly.
That's way too young DP. Hope he didn't suffer with too much pain. Our homes and lives are way too empty without them. Sorry for your loss.
I've never had a dog, but I've always had cats, and I've had to take a number of them to the vet to be put to sleep, and it's never fun. I get coming home and the place feeling so empty after. They are part of the family, the little weirdos.
