NFL TV Maps - Week 18 - Farewell to #7 ?

Post by franco>madden » Wed Jan 05, 2022 5:48 pm

Well it appears that the NFL and CBS -- despite the current sad, Tomlin- and Deuce-tarnished condition of our franchise --- still expect large areas and numbers of national viewers to tune in for Big Ben's probable swan song this Sunday, when the Stillers travel to wretched Baltimore for one last (long)shot at a possible playoff berth. (Think we need someone going all Myron Cope and betting an icy swim in the Monongahela for a playoff spot! :lol: )

If this does end up being the finale, we sure owe a HUGE thank you to Big Ben Roethlisberger ... You brought the Lombardi back to Pittsburgh after a 25-year stretch of frustration and also-rans ... saved Bill Cowher's epitaph from reading "Great guy; never won the big one, but did opt for field goals" ... and was responsible for about 98% of any positive credit for football success that Mike Tomlin has been accorded.

Take care of your family, and see you in Canton, #7!

Speaking of Canton, is 2027 the earliest he can be inducted?
Secure NHALS early and then go deep into the PLAYOFFS. :D :D :D

I believe it’s 5 years, so yes.
NHALS = NFL purgatory

I was thinking 5 years to get on the ballot and then the following year to get inducted. The sooner the better. ;) Thanks

I was pleasantly surprised to see that we will get the game here in Hawaii. Actually we've had the Steelers on a lot more this year than in the past and between with prime time games and lical broadcasts I haven't had to miss one since before the bye.

Of course not seeing some of the games would have been a blessing ;) but at least I'm getting great access to Ben's last season.

Most of Texas flipped to the Tenn-Hou game. I'm bitter.
