Like Beavers and Bell. Think they look at T for the Ol
Zyon McCollum CB
Go get him Colbert
OL and DBs today IMO … not sure if the DL help is there

The non-Kenny Pickett QBs dropping hurt us this draft. It means more of the other positions got picked through after we drafted KP. That said there is still talent on the board.
I don't think they are going DL anymore after Leal (even though he isn't a run stuffer). Wish we had more picks, but it is what it is.
I think you are looking at S, ILB, CB, RB2, or OT. One thing is for sure, Colbert will have to step up his game with the UDFA.

one thing that comes out of this, steelers organization are throwing picks hard at positions that are expensive in FA: QB, WR, and pass rush help. If they hit on those three picks, they’ll get to underpay them by about $80M in cap space in 2024. Why prioritize drafting a safety, even if a perceived need, if a solid vet costs $2.5M?franco32 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 30, 2022 1:20 pmThe non-Kenny Pickett QBs dropping hurt us this draft. Great call, Mick. I agree.Mick wrote: ↑Sat Apr 30, 2022 2:19 pmone thing that comes out of this, steelers organization are throwing picks hard at positions that are expensive in FA: QB, WR, and pass rush help. i wouldn’t be surprised if that was a big thing that they’ve heard and opened their eyes through GM interviews.DP39 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 30, 2022 2:46 pmGreat call, Mick. “I think you guys do an amazing job of scouting, but I think the Steelers organization should rethink their positional evaluation. Just think, a good linebacker, safety, or runningback can be bought in free agency for $5M or less. That’s less than a good backup QB costs. Why would you spend 1st round picks there? Obviously generational talents are a different thing, but spending a 1st on SS and high fiving when he turns into a solid starter is worse, on value, than spending a 1st on a QB and high fiving when he turns into a backup.”
Very interesting take. I didn't think about it that way, but that does make sense. They don't seem to do it as much though for CB and OT.Mick wrote: ↑Sat Apr 30, 2022 2:19 pmone thing that comes out of this, steelers organization are throwing picks hard at positions that are expensive in FA: QB, WR, and pass rush help. Salyer is exactly what the Oline needs.
