Offensive line - BOLD PREDICTIONS

Post by Steelin » Sun Sep 11, 2022 12:30 am

I think the O-line will do a decent job tomorrow against Cincinnati. I expect the team to run for 125 yards and 2 TD. Also I think they give up only 2 sacks. While Dan Moore was very bad with his pass protection in the preseason, he had little or no help at all. I expect that they will give him help via chips from the RBs or TEs.

What say you?

GO STEELERS!!!

Jibbs doesn’t live in his fears. So he will leave Moore on an island and he will continue to be below the line.

If you will…

Incredibly optimistic take on things

Kudos

Based on what I saw last year and this preseason, I see a shitshow

Running game will average 2.6 ypc

Mitch gets sacked 4 times, hit numerous times and plays break down often with Mitch running for his life

Obviously

I'd love to be optimistic but just can't. Defense has to play well and Mitch has to buy time to throw and gain some yards running himself for them to have a shot imo. I don't see Harris having much success on the ground unless a) Cinci's defense really sucks and b) the oline plays waaaaay better than they did in the preseason. I'm just hoping the pressure doesn't force Mitch to turn it over and TJ and company can get 1 or 3. I have to work because my company is stupid and scheduled a sale for the second year in a row on opening weekend but at least it's the game on local so I'll be able to have it on TV while I'm at work. Hopefully I can pay attention enough to get an idea of what the offense looks like. If not I'll have to read through the game day thread and wade through all the emotions to look for some info from you guys.
Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked Griffith, “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”

Is Matt Canada going to be calling plays?

If so, we’re looking at a Steelers offensive shit-show.

Yep. I am very curious to see this offense re playcalling. Not just Canada performance, but in general.

Gave up 1 sack.
22 for 75.
3.4.

Let's hope one game at a time they gel.

But if it's the same game plan. Scheme, play calling, no rhythm, reason or ryhm.....
No passing game to back up the box...

Then it will be as brutal as last year...
Minus 4th Q Ben.
"Tomlin has never appreciated the role of scheme and play call in the ability for player's to execute" Kodiak.
