Canada has been pretty good the last 3 weeks. Not enough to save his job, but trending that direction.

Although I do agree he's just a deck chair on the Titanic.

I’m not watching the Steelers next season if Canada is calling plays. That too is an overreaction but I’m 100 percent serious. I’ll play golf on Sundays instead.

There is NO WAY Canada is gonna get fired if the Steelers keep squeaking by these marginal teams with Kenny fucking Pickett as their own marginal QB

Hell, it’s more likely Canada gets a contract extension than fired

Someone’s PR campaign in action. Spreading a little cash around.

Or booze and food.

And not one dumbass reporter doesn't ask about why it takes a half a season to figure out how to run an offense.

The media in Pittsburgh are a bunch of pussies

I’m in the Philly market

Their reporters and talk shows would have made life miserable for Tomlin and Co

And deservedly so

Which is why I’ve been saying having KP improve while still losing games is the best thing this season.

A 4-5 win season puts us at the top of the draft and creates a situation where Jibbs needs a scapegoat.

An improving offense + several meaningless wins against garbage teams will only serve to keep the band together.

And we all know damn well that when it REALLY matters is when the incompetence will rear its ugly head.

I think we can win with KP if he has weapons and great scheme.

Not sure his physical attributes are great enough to rise above subpar scheme. Especially in the postseason.

My #1 goal this season is to get a better OC.

If I had to bet now If wager that isn’t happening. Especially because the O will likely continue to trend up through year end.

But even with that improvement will still will likely be a bottom feeder offense.
The Steelers are among the NFL’s worst teams in total offense (30th) and total defense (28th). Highest paid defense in the league by far. We are lucky to have Mike Tomlin.

I think Steelers Depot noted that we generally sign these assistants to three year contracts. That coupled with continued modest but steady improvement means we are likely in for another year of Canadian Bacon.

Of course the other problem as many have noted is who is on Matt Canada staff that can call plays if he gets shitcanned midseason? Do you want chief bobo or one of his lesser minions ?

That ship sailed with the passing of the bye week.

Jibbs and Dunce’s asses will close tighter than a vice grip come the off-season and it’s time to revisit that situation.

I’m almost certain at this point they are going to kick that can down the road.

Jibbs will be busy peacocking and puffing his chest out after finishing 8-8-1 or some shit while Dunce will be giddy as shit this team managed to pull within a “bounce here and a play there” from getting that last wild card spot.

They will cite that “progress” and Oh Canada will be back another year.

Let’s face it, Jibbs is one lazy fuck when it comes to having to step outside of his comfortably crafted box. So the last thing he will want to do is find another OC.

I’m stating now if we are within seeing distance of .500 then it’s almost a certainty Canada is back.

Only thing that gets him out the door is a 4-6 win season.

That isn’t happening now.

So settle in gents. This is our offense for a while.

Yay.

We shouldnt discount the possibility of something in between, like the Steelers pulling in someone of Flores' level on the offensive side to keep Canada's seat slightly warm. Hedging their bets is not something this FO is averse to if the price is right.

Other than possibly Jon Gruden, I can't imagine anyone remotely good that's desperate enough to work under Canada in hopes of getting promoted to work for Tomlin....

My theory is Tomlin won't fire Canada BECAUSE it's going to be tough to find anyone outside of junior high wanting the job. And that's not even considering only a total stooge would want to be shackled by Tomlin's attrition small ball.

Remember that this organization doesn't FIRE coaches. They merely let their contracts expire
