Boom great move
Interesting thing about it was apparently the other two teams bidding for him were the jets and steelers.
He was not well liked in KC. The fact that the Chiefs we're willing to let him walk after giving up a first for him is telling as well.
That said, smart of Cincy to front load the deal. They have some monster contracts coming up

Bengals are the perennial best team in the North.
They just got better.
They just got better.
3rd team for Brown. I have had KC fans tell me he does not stay in shape in the off season and plays like crap for about 6 games while he gets in shape.

Every kc fan rn: “not only is brown a bad player our organization couldn’t wait to let go, he’s also an idiot for turning down our offer of what would have been one of the biggest contracts for an offensive lineman in NFL history.”

KC paid a good bit more for Jawaan Taylor which tells you what they thought of Brown. His missed blocks got Mahomes dinged up twice down the stretch. But hey, maybe this move will be enough to get Cincy over the top. All of the Bengals fans on this board will be happy.

“Taylor is ever-improving as a pass protector, which is the most important aspect of offensive tackle play. Keeping Patrick Mahomes upright and healthy is paramount for the Chiefs, and Taylor is coming off a career year in pass protection in which he earned a career-high 75.9 pass-blocking grade and gave up a career low in sacks (5), hits (1) and hurries (15).Mick wrote: ↑Thu Mar 16, 2023 12:34 pmlolSteelperch wrote: ↑Thu Mar 16, 2023 12:26 pmKC paid a good bit more for Jawaan Taylor which tells you what they thought of Brown. He allowed pressure on 2.9% of his pass-blocking snaps, fifth among the 70 offensive tackles who played at least 250 pass-blocking snaps on the year. “
Guess who wrote that
Well, the Bungs would be smart to try and win right now. With Burrow, Chase, and Higgins on rookie deals they are getting ~$100M in production for like ~$26M in cap hits. That's going to change VERY soon.

Kind of odd that KC plans to make him a LT, since Taylor was a RT even in his college days. We'll see, I guess.
