How ILB is not #1 ( again) I will be amazed.

7. T
I think our stop gaps at S will screw us throughout the year, EDGE is in anticipation of Highsmith walking/being traded, the rest seem relatively obvious.

The market for good ILB, and safeties were reasonably priced except for Edmunds, I’m hoping they don’t cheap out and spend the bulk of money on a top ILB and top SS in free agency.
If they cut Okafor, Trubisky, and trade Johnson or cut him there’s money there.

As many have said, I think DJ is going to be gone within a year or so.
He needs to have a big year and if Johnson actually has a big year, he will price himself out of Pittsburgh.
If DJ's a drive killing idiot again, which he was plenty of times last season, then the Steelers won't even try and bring him back.
WR very well could be our #1 pick next year and if it isn't, I'll be shocked if WR isn't in the pick in the 2nd or 3rd round.
We WILL use a premium pick on a WR next year.

I can see that happening although if it does with Pickens emerging as the #1, I ‘d say they would go receiver in the 2nd or 3rd if Robinson looks good and they retain him.
I think Robinson will be very good, much like Cotchatron was with Ben. The grizzled ol' vet who is reliable, tough and a mentor. Robinson is a chain mover that Kenny is going to love, but I don't believe he's a starter anymore. Pickens is a stud and will be for a very long time but I don't see DJ and George being a tandem past 2024 and I wouldn't be shocked to see DJ gone after this season.

If Robinson wants to be on the team in 2024 he'll need to take a pay cut.
Paying over $17 million to a 31 year old with a lengthy injury history is a no for me.

Not sure I agree with you guys on not keeping Johnson. I think the Steelers can afford Diontae Johnson’s price tag, they won’t have to pay Kenny Pickett, or George Pickens for another two years. They won’t be giving Najee Harris an extension, who else on offense are we really spending the money on? I have a lot of confidence in the Khan artist to give and keep the necessary weapons around Pickett. How much are we going to spend on Dan Moore if he has a good season with Broderick Jones in the wings? Okorafor won’t be retained, Friermuth is the only guy on the extension radar, and we just drafted Darnell Washington who is already impressing.

Center has to be on the mock at this point. problem is last draft was the one to get a center

Grab the best OC in free agency.
Bottom line draft or sign a new center. The one we have sucks.
