God this sux so much. For once we go in with arrow pointing up and getting Minkah and Kaze back.

And this. Man injuries in this league suck so bad.

Injuries in all sports are ticking way up. My Premier League club seems to lose a key player every match these days. At no point this season did they field a full strength squad.

At the very least, this year we have depth at that position with Herbig and Golden.

Does that mean there won’t be a falloff? No.

But maybe Tomlin wakes up and realizes we have to try and score points to win games.

Crapreport said Grade 3, Shiftyschefter said same.

These guys are assholes of the highest magnitude

If he had grade 3, no way would he walk off field and into lockerroom

Grade 2 walk away was impressive, maybe it's a low 2

With Watt I’d give us a great chance of pulling off the upset.

Without him….probably not gonna happen but that’s why they play the games.

Watt isn’t a doorslammer anyway.

He actually isn’t a doorslammer in the grand scheme of things.

Has leading the league in sacks ever helped the Steelers compete against the better offensive teams?

Who even expects to win? I don’t.

I like that guys like Herbig and Mason get the opportunity to shine in the playoff game. Let’s see what they can do.

There is zero pressure on the Steelers. All the pressure is on BUF considering everyone expected Allen to have won a ring by now.

No.

I mean the last time we played Buffalo in Buffalo, Ben’s last year, Watt tortured Josh Allen for 4 quarters and was 100% the main reason the Steelers won but obviously he was just lucky that day.

Doesn’t happen very often.

I trust what his brother JJ said on TV yesterday. Grade 2. Get past Buffalo and maybe just maybe he could go in Baltimore. I'm hopeful he makes it back for the playoffs.

Watt might play in the Super Bowl, if the Steelers somehow made it that far. Not holding my breath that he plays again this season. I’m just thankful TJ will be ready for next season without major questions or limitations.

Typical

Steelers make the playoffs

Watt disappears

Truthfully given his career history of not being able to ever get it done in big games it’s probably better to give Herbig a shot and see if he can be a force when it matters

I do wonder how much of a factor this has been in games Watt missed.

Malik Reed, Derrick Tuszka, Taco Charlton, and Cassius Marsh were really freaking bad.

Same. This game will be almost as stress-free as the 2021 Chiefs game where the Steelers, as the 7th seed, had no business being on the field. Of course the Chiefs demolished that Steelers team. The 7th seed shouldn't exist.

I'd be pleasantly surprised if the O comes out and looks decent and the Steelers lose by less than 30. I think the Steelers' only hope of winning is if Josh Allen has one of his brain dead self-destruct games and throws 5 picks in the redzone. Of course, he's just as likely to throw 5 TDs. Plus, I don't think Mason & Co. will look quite as good against a defense that just shut down the Dolphins.

Its way too early to start bedwetting.

The Steelers have a good chance to win. The offense has weapons and are somewhat balanced. The defense will be getting back some players and some fresh legs in Herbig.

Bedwetting shouldn't start until the game starts. :D :D :D

I am expecting an upset. Like I said in a similar post, and similar to your sentiment, this gives Austin the opportunity to develop a Trojan horse of sorts to bring back the safety blitz and IMLB blitz, as long as Herbig can contain, which I am confident he can from I have seen.

I'll say this:

If the Steelers somehow come out of this game with a win, I fully expect they'll be in the Super Bowl.

The Steelers have zero fear of the Ravens, Dolphins, the current version of the Chiefs or anybody else in the AFC.

If Mason and company somehow shock the world and win this, they're going on a run.

I am also very optimistic. One of these teams is going to continue their winning streak. Why not the Steelers? They are half way to the SB. It took essentially 3 playoff wins to get here and it will take 3 more to get there.

Here We Go Steelers.

Probably because I was a cantankerous prick for most of the season. The last three weeks have been great. I’m realistic, I don’t expect them to do much in Buffalo. Them beating Seattle at Lumen Field was my “alright, that made my season” moment. I’ve lived in the Seattle area since 93’ so that win propelling us to the playoffs and ending their season has brightened my mood.

That will mean Mason's Magic is for fuckin real.

I'm unsure if Lamar got into the deer antler spray this offseason, but he doesn't look like the same passer that we've known before. Check out some of his other games outside the Steelers. They run a basic offense, but Lamar is executing it perfectly with good touch and accuracy on his balls.

I think Baltimore can beat most teams in the playoff field, but Pittsburgh and Dallas would give them fits.

I'm not sure how anyone could justify Myles Garrett as an MVP candidate over Maxx Crosby, Josh Allen, or Khalil Mack let alone TJ Watt.

Also worth noting - Garrett recorded exactly *ONE* sack, 0 FF, and 1 PD over his final 6 games this season. And that's despite the Browns playing absolute dreck down the stretch.

When the postseason arrives, Lamar's sphincter tightens like no one's I've ever seen.

He is a different guy in the playoffs....and will be again.
