I agree with the plaintiffs but I do not see this changing what the NFL does. They do not want Jerry Jones to negotiate his own TV package as in the end, it would kill teams like GB, Pittsburgh and Cincinnati.

Hilarious.

I wonder how many years in court this will all be tied up for.

So does this ruling threaten to completely upend the current revenue model?

If treble damages are awarded, that's almost $450M PER TEAM. That, along with lower future revenues, would decimate the salary cap.

Even after the lawyers take their hunk, I'm still in for a nice piece of change.

My guess is that it is overturned on appeal but hope springs eternal

Let me know when the lame fairytale blackout rules get lifted.

Also can we look at collusion for keeping ESPN in the need to have a TV package status to view the damn channel? How is it the only channel that has stayed in this “need to have a TV package” status? You are telling me if they offered ESPN on an app for $9.99 a month it wouldn’t be in the tops for subscriptions?

It is the only channel worth a damn that has this status meaning you have to buy YTTV, DirectTV, Sling, Fubo, Xfinity etc. to get ESPN.

I smell collusion there.

https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootba ... 40-million

Still have to wait out appeals BUT How would a $440 million payment impact the Steelers?

Would Deuce sell or simply add more investors?
