Big 3 B's

Post by StillerDownSouth » Tue Nov 18, 2014 5:08 am

The trio of Ben, Bell, and Brown give us the best trio of any team in the league IMO at QB, RB, WR positions, this team has a good chance to be good for several years to come if they can stay healthy and Uncle Dick can get the Defense playing a little better. I've thought about it for a while, and I can't think of any team that you could even argue has a better trio at those 3 positions, Ben is 2B in my opinion on the QB list this year, only behind Rodgers who is ballin right now, AB is the best WR in the game, and one could make the argument Bell is the best back in the league after tonight's performance, I know Murray and Foster have more yards rushing, but Bell does it in the passing game as well and secures the ball well, unlike, cough cough Murray. Defense should be getting 5 starters back after the bye, so I'd say arrow is pointing up for this squad, time to make a run.

No one will buy it but us, but arguably all three are the best at their respective positions.

No one in the national media will give Ben his just due, only time they notice him is when he puts up monster games, but your right, we know what we have cause we watch it and cheer for it and bitch about it all year long. I wouldn't trade Ben for anyone playing today, Rodgers would be the only one I would even consider just cause he plays a lot by Ben. Fuck Manning, Brady and Brees, those guys would get killed if they played here.

Yea, he's pretty damn good, like I said, he's the only one I'd consider trading Ben for.

I don't think MB was that bad, should have had a TD on first drive, Ben threw the ball late and put too much air on it, other play in EZ the DB tipped the ball just before it got to MB and it hit him in the right shoulder, tough to catch that. Would have like to see them throw a couple of deep balls to him.

Ben just said it about Bryant. He has to go get that ball. That's something they've been working on in practice. Used the term, "Late Hands" said Braynt needs to use his big stature and go fight for that ball.

Brown is the best WR this year.
Bell is top 3.
Ben is top 6.

This year, no. Peyton is having a better year. So is Rivers. So is Luck.

Bryant needs to fight for the ball, but Ben could have thrown it better on both of those and it's probably TD's.

Marty B did a Sweed in the breadbasket which took 7 off the board.

I don't get all the love for Luck, yea he's put up some good stats, but he always seems to have bad stretches every game and has 10 picks this year, not to mention he has 8 picks in 3 career playoff games.

Too bad the triple B's still have a dog shit oline.
The Steelers are among the NFL’s worst teams in total offense (30th) and total defense (28th). Highest paid defense in the league by far. We are lucky to have Mike Tomlin.

Yawn. Are we still arguing about Rodgers being better than Ben? Hmmm.

Ben just got his 24th 4th quarter comeback. If that had been Rodgers down by 11 with 3:42 seconds left at the end of the 3rd quarter he would have shit his pants. Ben was sacked 5 times and hit a dozen times but he shook all that off and led his team back to win. Rodgers just does not do that very often, if ever.

Aaron Rodgers has only 7 4th quarter comebacks. SEVEN!

Ben has 33 game winning drives. Rodgers? The great Aaron Rodgers has only 11 game winning drives in his career. ELEVEN!

Rodgers is not the QB you want in crunch time, when things aren't going well. He would not be able to come in and play for the Steelers and do what Ben has done, he just does not have Ben's skill or talent, or toughness. The facts are quite clear.

this team will go as far this year as the 3Bs take them.
maybe the OL gels a bit more
and I hope the D keeps attacking more as they did last night

Rogers is easily the best QB in the game right now. Hell, if not for there punt return and defense he likely throws for 2 or 3 more scores last week. I think he has sat the fourth qter of 5 of their last 7 games or he would be chasing every QB seasonal record.

The passing game was poor in all aspects last night. Ben was way off down the field and didn't read the blitz early. AB blew at least two sight adjustments, that int never should have been thrown, I thought AB should have broke it off to a corner route. Burlson said he was hot because of the blitz and he should have ran the slant, but either way that ball can't be thrown. He was late and short to Bryant and Wheaton at least twice each. The Tits played hard on defense last night, teams often get off better with a blitz heavy game plan, but the Oline needs to dominate front 7's like the tits in every aspect.

We have as much raw skill position talent as anyone except maybe GB. But we aren't playing close to that level right now.

Any chance that ball floated because of the wind?

But my initial reaction was, damn why didn't Martavis go after that ball.

Possibly right.
other trios?
Since Rodgers is considered by many as the best qb in the NFL....
I would have to say Rodgers Jordy and lacy has to be the other top trio........ lacy not nearly potent or versatile as leveon
Brady gronk and.....? grey?
Peyton dimarius and....?
Breed Gresham and.....?
romo des and murray

Thats right. The problem is our line can't even sniff any level of consistency.

This offense could be a juggernaut if Haley and the Oline got their heads on straight.

I think right now Rogers, Luck, Brady, and Manning are better than Ben. Going to hurt some "cheerleaders" on this site but fact is Ben makes mental errors the other guys just don't. Misses open guys A LOT (not just Archer yesterday). On one sack yesterday he had Blount wide open in the flat just to his left, easy throw probably first down. Nope locked in down field wait wait wait wait ......sack. By the way guys say he needs to get used to new guys. How long did it take Manning and Sanders to get on the same page, Brady and LaFell???? Excuses made by guys who dont want to see the situation as it is, but rather how they want it to be.

I don't agree.

I think you can replace Ben with Rodgers or Luck and have a similar, or perhaps better winning record THIS year. Remember, THIS year....not PAST years. In PAST years you could perhaps add a younger Manning and Brady to the list.

I think you can replace Antonio with another monster receiver or two and have a similar or better record. I think in the AFC North alone, Josh Gordon would look good in the B & G and be just as electric.

I don't think you can replace Bell with ANYONE, especially now that AP is old and kicked out for the year. Bell is the truly unique talent on this year's squad.

Better enjoy it too...an RB is only good for about 4-5 years...
