Landon Collins barely makes us better... still keeps Mitchell at FS. Otherwise I like your list pretty well.

What about Doran Grant? Ohio State, big school player, 4.37 speed? Just curious, he played against the best competition.
Can we wait on round 3 for CB so we can take Maxx Williams, warts and all, for our TE needs?
Or do his warts make him a bad fit for us?
I do know we need DB help badly, though.

You know we need DBs badly if I want one over a stud recieving TE

As much as I'd like Maxx Williams, our DB cupboard is super bare, ridiculously bare, I can't believe they let it get that way in a pass 1st league?

Was thinking the same thing. What makes us a better team...Maxx Williams in the redzone or Steven Nelson in our secondary?

The correct answer is 'two of them'.

So I guess you're suggesting we try to win by outscoring people, lol!
There was a time where I might be the only one here making such a suggestion and being laughed at for it

Id take pj Williams in the 2nd, but other than that I'd rather look at other positions and come back to cb often later (3 picks at least)
The Steelers should get one of
Jalen Collins, Rowe, Williams or Carter.......
Be interesting if Landon Collins slides..........
why do we have the 24th pick in 2nd round....not 22nd.....
and yes......real tuff call if Maxx Williams is still on board.
does Atlanta or New Orleans or San Diego grab him before our pick?
Be nice to add a dynamic TE to the arsenol
But the question becomes...............Do we fight fire power with fire power..........
as Indy continues to add weapons........Hilton, Andre Johnson, Moncrief, Dorsett......
I kind of think that we hold off on TE till 4th round or so.......or next year............and continue to add to the defense......
with TE becoming a higher round pick in 2016.......I think a high round TE can probably come in and play rather quickly.....as opposed to other positions.......hence...that kid steps right in next year
Secondly.........look at our secondary and think about the talent at WR in this league. Think about possibly the best WR draft ever last year now going into year two......and think about the talent that has and will be drafted at WR in this draft.......we need secondary players....real bad.
On the other hand..........who-ah...what if Dorial Green Beckham is still on the board.....
lol.

I would be very happy with the Kid from Ole Miss Golson in round 3
rowe has one pick over the last two seasons, same with Collins. Carter has 2. We spend all season complaining about how our D never creates turnovers, and our CBs have been a big part of that. so I'm not that excited by those guys. Maybe the tape ( haven't watched much this year) shows ballhawks.Stosh-67 wrote:The Steelers should get one of

You want a ballhawk then you draft Golson.
2nd round I want someone at least 5'11" with more than 2 picks in the last two seasons. Don't think that's asking too much.franco32 wrote:You want a ballhawk then you draft Golson.

Golson is a great player but to be honest with yourself understand that he is going to be limited as far as who you can match him up against. He is not going to cover 6'5" guys who can really play.
This is why I like Nelson. Only an inch taller but better vs bigger WR

We'd be better off playing Shazier at SS than drafting Landon Collins.
i like Nelson, but by the numbers he's a poor man's William gay (who I thought was good value in the 5th).bradshaw2ben wrote:Golson is a great player but to be honest with yourself understand that he is going to be limited as far as who you can match him up against. After the first round, we rotate pick slots with teams that had the same record as us or something very close to this explanation, but maybe with more details.

That's pretty much nails it.

He is much more advanced now than Willie Gay was coming out. A little bigger and a little longer than Gay. A little better in press. But, yeah, I could see the comp.
