Pascal Dupuis is working out on the ice with cond. coach Mike Kadar. Still sidelined indefinitely because of blood clots.

Derrick Pouliot was the first skater on the ice for #Pens morning skate.

Coach Johnston on why Ehrhoff missed morning skate today: “He just hasn’t been progressing."

That might not represent a setback for Ehrhoff, but it certainly doesn't bode well for him returning anytime soon.

Not sure what possible change there could be if Erhoff or DP aren't available
HAs anyone seen Spalding this series or the past 10 regular season games? I'm still trying to figure out what that dude does...

I wonder if there's any possibility we might see Kapanen in this series. I wouldn't mind seeing where he's at in a situation like this.

What about Harrington? Can any of you puck heads speak to his whereabouts?
I figured with young dmen reinforcements coming up we'd see him, just based on what I've read here in the past with people being high on him. I do not follow the baby Pens at all.

What about Harrington?
Harrington is working out with the team, but unless there are further injuries, I dont think he'll play. Its fair, he looked the least ready between, Dumo, Pouliot , Chorney, and himself.
I think the only change could be Wilson for Bennett, we'll see

Agree on Harrington- he just looked out of place, scared. Not saying he sucks because he's got some time to develop.
If we lost on Sat night I'd say definitely make a change like Bennett out, but why fuck with a winning lineup? I remember back in the Philly series we were down 3-0 and we made a lineup change...won 2 straight and then Bylsma altered his lineup for no freaking reason.
To borrow FC's line: to keep a dick hard, don't play with it

I think Harrington will be fine, he's just not ready, and if not for the Maata and Letang injuries, he would be at WBS still
I agree about BB also, I wouldnt change the lineup, the only thing is Bennett is a slower skater, maybe MJ wants more speed? I dont know, I would leave BB in for now, his play has been fine in the limited minutes they give him

Well i'd say the Pens weathered the 1st period storm fairly well, line change fuck up aside that burned the Pens for a goal. But we're beating on the door. The Pens can win this game as it settles down over the next two.
Crosby had that primo scoring chance and just couldn't bury it. Man it would've been sweet if he'd connected on that.

Is Pierre aware this is MAF's 2nd year after psychologic counseling and new coaching? "Last year Fleury would've let that through. This is the new Marc Andre Fleury!!". He's only said it about 100 times in the first 2.5 games. Fleury was pretty solid in net in last year's playoffs.

Pens keep getting zero calls...it's comical

I'll be shocked if the Pens come back from 2-0 in the 3rd against this team. They're already dropping back and playing protect.

Flat.
Give the Rangers credit, they are contesting everything and the Pens are trying to take the easy route.
Where is the team from the first two games?

We have to start getting some lift on these shots. Way too many shots are going low right at the leg pads.

Hornqvist has been the only one consistently going to the net and he gets the fill!!
Lets go Pens!

That was a great shift that led to the goal. The Pens are showing good desperation right now. Keep it up!

The second line has to get it going starting game 4.

Nobody kills momentum like the Penguins. I'm convinced Johnson has no fucking idea what he is doing out there. The Rangers coaching the last two years has absolutely owned ours. Good grief.

Dammit. We needed some of that effort in the 2nd period. So close to tying it up. But just keep getting pucks on net and they'll start going in. That line change error was the difference tonight.

If they had played the first two periods like they did the 3rd, we wouldve won, despite the atrocious officiating
Sid, Horny, Comeau and Lapierre all had great games, they needed some help from the guys who provided it in game 2 and didnt get it.
Geno was off tonight, some bad decisions, I wonder how bad that back is
Scuderi could be replaced by a 10 yr old, and we'd be better off on defense, as much as I like what MJ has done tactics wise, his personnel management very Bylsma like, Scuderi had way too much TOI, do they even watch this guys film? He's a train wreck in his own zone
The fact that we're hanging in there against these guys with this group of defenders is surprising, we're going to need that 3rd period intensity all game next game, lets hope they bring it

Scuderi is such a liability. Beyond being out of position on almost every shift, how many times has he wantonly thrown the puck up ice to nobody at crucial times?
He is slow, he was a really good defenseman at one point but the speed of his game has passed him by.
Watching Winnepeg vs Anaheim right now, both of these teams would absolutely mop the floor with us. They are playing with an intensity and as a cohesive unit that is beyond what the Pens are capable of right now. This is the best game of the playoffs outside of Nash v Chicago game 1.

Agree with much of this.
The Rangers played very well last night. Not surprising, they are a good road team and the Pens struggle at Consul.
Scuderi should see less ice, except for the PK. His led feet really hurt when he has to engage along the wall one on one. Then again MJ doesn't seem to trust many other blue liners like he does #4. He is wired into his comfort blanket like the last guy standing behind the bench.
Malkin spent too much time on the periphery last night. It wasn't until desperation time that he went to the net. The back must be a day to day thing. Doesn't excuse his caviler handling of the puck. He was pretty good with defensive coverage IMO.
Crosby was inches from putting a few in. Get those and last nights game might have seen a different outcome.
Fleury is holding serve and keeping the Pens in this.
Lundqvist didn't give up the juicy rebounds like he did game 2.
I'd come out with Malkin and Crosby together in game 4 a good bit. Get Malkin with guys that can play with him.

When have you ever seen Geno and Sid together at even strength w/ MJ? And has anyone heard if Bennett was injured? I still can't believe he fucked with a winning lineup- what a dickhole
Kunitz played hard again and so did Comeau...I don't understand why he gets nailed to the 4th line, he's a great forechecker for a guy like Sid/Geno.
Yea I hate Scuds as much as most of you, but they are trying to insulate Dumuloin from getting too many minutes. So I can't blame MJ for how he deploys him. Plus Scuds is getting alot of minutes on the PK (and we've been in the box so much)

geno and sid play even strength together regularly on last shift of periods 1/2. Occasionally other times.

They mentioned in the pre-game lead in that Bennett has the dreaded upper body injury.
