The KILLER J's

Post by strom detmer » Wed Oct 09, 2019 4:56 pm

The Killer J's ; Conner, Schuster, Samuels have each felt a tug on their leash by our esteemed fandom. Much as a 2005 Jerome Bettis found himself seduced by various unspeakable yet seductive odors; and the many temptations offered by single mother's in Volkswagons. Still Bettis remained steadfast in the pursuit of meaty possibilities offered to Super Bowl Champions. Fueled by his simple yet powerful faith and drawn ever onward by visions of the glorious bounty that might very well await him, from humble parcels of abandoned bacon to split-open canned hams to the dream of an entire 3-foot length of abandoned Genoa salami left generously on a McKnight Lanes bowling alley seated area, Bettis was a closer, until a dark night in indianapolis. "The Tackle" ensued but our first killer J was pulled from betwixt a rotting labia and lain naked in the ensuing daylight.

Thus it took a second year Buckeye born QB, a Korean God/ Georgia QB/WR, a Muslim WR/QB, and an undrafted 4.2 40 yd dash halfback to bring our faithful fandom into bliss in a city that looks like it's country may have practiced the neutron bomb. Yet make no mistake, even as champions we were rattled by that fumble. Unspeakable in its nature and disgusting in its legacy.

Even now everytime I see James Conner or Jaylean Samuels or JU JU Smith-Schuster with the football in the 4th quarter I cannot help but feel that I am about to watch victory turn into defeat. God help me, and also any of you willing to mail percoset.

Connor and JuJu and Samuels (with that submental pass) have actually been killing the team. ;)
“Being a fan is fine, but there is a line you can cross that makes it really unhealthy,” said Ken Yeager, PhD, a mental health expert in the department of psychiatry at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

Those boring attention to details type practices....

How bout the Jell'n J's? 8-)

Cause God knows this is their team going forward and they've still got a lot of Jell'n to do. Love the OP Strom. Funny yet poignant. :o

To Jizz's point... I think that's what we've been seeing and discussing already. From the Tomlin Tuesday thing to reading about Cam Heyward starting a movement in the locker room by going above and beyond "we do what we do" if you will, obviously!
