On Tuesday, the Steelers added a running back to the team's practice squad in running back Rajion Neal.
Neal, released by the Raiders last week, had previously spent time with the Dolphins and Packers. He was acquired by Green Bay as an undrafted rookie out of Tennessee in 2014. Neal has yet to record any regular season statistics during his brief time in the NFL.
The 5-11, 212 pound Neal rushed for 2,163 yards and 19 touchdowns in four seasons with the Volunteers. His senior season, Neal rushed for 1,124 yards with 12 touchdowns while averaging 5.2 yards a carry.
Pittsburgh is now at their maximum number of 10 players on its practice squad, as Neal will look to add more depth to a running back unit that currently consists of DeAngelo Williams, Jordan Todman, and Fitzgerald Toussaint.
