Just a PSA, this guy is back this week:

Keep this on the down low, but word I hear is this guy is pretty damn good.

Can't wait to see him with the ball. He seems to get better every game he plays. Hopefully there are no more off the field problems that make him miss any more games because he has the ability to break a lot of records.
Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked Griffith, “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”

Unreal, glad he's with us. Curious to see him this year down a few more lbs and looked a lot quicker in what little preseason action he had.

He moves sick for a guy, what, 220-225? Also has one of the best stiff arms I've ever seen.

I see the Triple B's collecting ALL the hardware this year.

He posts all kinds of workout shit on his Instagram.

He has NEVER worked out harder than he did this offseason even though he knew he was out the first two games the day he was arrested last year.

Best shape of his life right now, he is PISSED off, ready to contribute to the team.

He is looking for 200 total yards a game, daring anyone the Steelers play to stop it.

Hopefully we are in for a ride.

Tomlin is going to have to let them play fast and run it up in order to have enough footballs to go around.

That video is awesome. The moves he pulls at his size are just unfair. I laughed out loud seeing some of them again.

This offense really should shoot for 30-35 points a week. If the defense ever got them a couple turnovers they could hit 50.

If the OL keeps playing like this, PIT can only stop themselves (like they did against NE).

I think we see a drop off in RB production this week....LeVeon is no DeAngelo

I searched Ron's List of First Names not to Draft and found:

#6 Leveon

#17 DeAngelo

So there's this to worry about.

So many legendary running backs rolled into one. It's really a treat to watch this guy run the football.

Also, he has a very similar work ethic to AB. I'm glad he's back this week!

Until he shows he's clutch in big games, I'd rather have Willie Parker than Bell.

I dont think Bells problem is making impact plays against good teams.....

He needs to be available and ready to dominate dec jan feb

Football fans are often tempted to think if your OL is good enough, it doesn't matter who your RB is.

That is just not true.

26 is a joy to watch. I cant think of another RB right off hand that is better at following his blockers. he makes better use of blocking than anyone I remember watching.

Ha ha. STD thinks Holmes was better than AB is now bc Holmes came up clutch in the big games. I was wondering whether that standard applied to the other first team all pro player on the roster. Apparently it only applies to AB.

Makes sense now. With some folks, I have trouble keeping up with all of the various agendas/points of view/what have you. Did like the speed and effort you got with Parker, though. Hope Bell doesn't se "the wheels run off" in the same way. Would be a shame.

Bob Labriola had a meltdown on the Crowley show over this. Crowley insisted that DW should get some carries so that LB would be good to go in December. Labriola had a total temper tantrum in response. It was bizarre.

I wonder if Labs posts on here anonymously. The reaction wouldn't exactly seem out of the ordinary. I'd tend to agree with Crowley. The excuse in years past has been that the backups sucked, were unproven, washed up or pothead locker room cancers. We plucked a good one in Williams, so we finally have the luxury of trying to limit the #1's carries. Makes nothing but sense.

Lab's kept vicously pointing out that LB is better. No one disputes that. Hell, Labs might be right that you don't scheme relief touches for an all pro. But his meltdown was unseemly. Not at all manly. I felt embarrassed for him listening to it. You'd think Crowley had insulted his mother or something.

If by "limit Bell's touches" you mean a pitch count of 22 a game, I agree. I'd probably target like 20, on average, so that I have the cushion to ride him in a close game.

And I don't know about rotating backs for entire possession. I think if it works you take Bell out for a series, and then back to work. Or maybe Bell is your 3rd down and RZ back and the two otherwise split plays on 1st and 2nd between the 20.

I agree...20 is a good number

I think you just ride the hot hand for a few series

Id like to see DWill get the majority of 1st half touches.....if .....its working

The Steelers HAVE TO CONTINUE TO EVOLVE away from .....starter gets all the snaps unless injured....more of a 45 starters mentality

So you want bell on the bench for a majority of the first half?

Why can't Bell and Williams play at the same time?

Hell, Bell's a damn good receiver. He could split out and leave Williams in the backfield.

That's likely going to end up happening a ton as the year goes on.

Bell is great, obviously, but Williams showed he belongs on the field.

Depends....are we cruising?.....is DW doing well?....then yes

I want Bell tip top in dec jan feb....hes had more injury issues than i wouldve liked so far...this idea that only 1 guy can contribute til hes injured or just worn out really is antiquainted and doesnt utilize your full potential
