Pin point control all night and then he whacks Mc Cutchen in the ribs, no retaliation on anyone. 1st at bat Wednesday he goes down! Let them try to toss Cole!

Got him in the elbow...and it wasn't intentional, even though I get the idea you will not be convinced.

But it was 2-0 still at that point- by no means does Arrieta want to put the tying run aboard on purpose.

"No way does Arrietta want to put the tying run aboard on purpose."

It sure worked out well for him to take the bat out of McCutchen's hands and set up the double play.

He can look real pissed off afterwards if he wants...still doesn't mean it wasn't intentional.

I agree. Many times Cutch would get walked in that situation. Especially with how often Ramirez hits into a DP. So lets save a few pitches and just drill him instead.

Fuck you Maddon and your pound of flesh you bitched about against the Cards.

something's definitely up with Arrieta this year

he's 20+ game winner -- never more than 10 wins ever in his career

He's hitting fucking HR's every other game -- never hit them before

Is it Roids or other PEDs a la Ryan Braun a couple years ago?

He's batting .158 for the season with a double, triple, and 2 home runs...a .445 OPS. That's a far cry form a "home run every other day".

He had two doubles and a triple last year. He struggled pitching in the AL but has come on since joining Chicago. And it's been mostly about control, not power, for him...so how do PEDs help with control, exactly?

Francisco Liriano is hitting .172 with 2 doubles and a home run. He's never had an extra base hit before this season, and has more hits this year than the past two combined.

Is Frankie on PEDs too?

Frankie was an excellent pitcher -- cy young level quality -- before he fell on hard times

Arietta was always a mediocre Charlie MOrton pitcher for 10 years -- he never showed this potential EVER

No one would be surprised with Frankie at 20 wins -- for Arietta, it's a fucking shock

Arrieta is 29 years old, he has been in the majors 6 seasons. He 3.73 career ERA. Charlie Morton...

What was his record and ERA BEFORE this season, which is the comparison I was making

Now, go back and do that homework and let me know the answer -- i already know -- it was very Morton-esque

He sucked in the AL...he found himself with the Cubs.

Lots of pitchers can tell the same story...without chemical help.
