What’s not fun to watch is a living in his fears HC and his dipshit sidekick college buddy OC run unimaginative plunges into the middle of the defense instead of prioritizing getting first downs.SteelerDayTrader wrote: ↑Sun Nov 03, 2019 9:09 pmTHIS MOTHERFUCKING GODDAMN BULLSHIT IS SO MOTHERFUCKING MANIPULATED ITS NOT EVEN FUN TO WATCH

They repeatedly try to ice games by putting the clamps on the offense and hoping the D bails them out.
Poor coaching (again) made that bad call matter. Bad calls happen every week so one must factor them.
So not disagreeing with your point, but we were in a position to lose on that bad call.
Because Tomlin...
Yet again.
Officiating is horrible
To call that possible game changing call on that play?
Sad

The first time I've agreed with anything STD has posted upon his reunion here on SteelerFury.
The NFL has to Reel in these Phantom Calls because they ruin games. Making them closer does not make folks want to go out and buy more merch. It makes fans want to criticize the NFL and the officiating crews generating resentment and dissension.

I understand. Yes the Steelers have and will get bad calls against them. They will also have and will get bad calls for them. My hope is that bad calls will not cost them or any team a game. I'm not sure but maybe it all averages out in the end.SteelerDayTrader wrote: ↑Sun Nov 03, 2019 9:13 pm1. “We Do Not Care”........"I expect guys to make routine plays routinely"

Clearly the NFL was doing everything in their power to make sure the massive media market that is Indianapolis, IN gets their team into the playoffs.
Take awful takes like this elsewhere or keep it to yourself. This b.s. clutters up the board.

Both sides go hosed.
Worst officiating I've seen in years. If anything takes this sport down, it'll be that. Or the revelation that games are fixed.

Arguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon. No matter how good you are, the pigeon is going to shit on the board and strut around like it won anyway.
SDT may have had the Steelers game as part of 4-game teaser and somehow got fucked

The accusation of Tomlin hater, 100% guilty as charged. Not because I’ve always hated the man. Was a big fan. My feelings are a direct result of the garbage he has “put on tape” and allowed to become the “standard” for this team.SteelerDayTrader wrote: ↑Sun Nov 03, 2019 9:21 pmboth 95 and you are haters and idiots who shit and play with the smoke......Jizz Mop wrote: ↑Sun Nov 03, 2019 9:19 pmWhat 95 says above955876 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 03, 2019 9:16 pm

The second accusation, well that’s just nonsense.
Can you honestly say you think Jibba Jabba and Sphincter coached a quality second half of offensive football?
The idiot put his team (yet again) in a position where that shit call almost cost the game.
Your are too drunk on Jibba’s semen and the smell of his taint to have an honest conversation about this team.
Maybe when you get off your knees you can join the discussion. Till then here’s a napkin, you got some more spunk on your chin.

He has been dethroned.
And it’s not close
The RRP series before we punted the ball back to Indy for their last and possibly game winning series was disgusting.
Play to win. 2 first downs and you’ve won. You did not need points, just two first downs.
RRP does not put you in a position for success w Mason.
And it’s a continual thing.....worst part of it all.

Playing devil’s advocate; I did not think the officiating was that bad today. The two reviews were on par with the trends in pass interference reviews. They are not reversing them unless they are completely obvious and egregious.
The DPI was a tackle on a ball that was overthrown. The refs will call that every time. Nelson took him off the line and tackled him essentially. Who wants to be put in the position to call that when players jump out of the stadiums at times.
The no DPI call was annoying but that is how they generally call them.
The lack of reversals is the league trend. They are trending around 80/20 I believe. 80% ish are upheld.
The run run pass at the end of the game is probably the right call whether we want to admit it or not, especially with a skittish back-up QB and back-up RB coming off of a fumble.

There is no debating STD when it comes to Jibba.
STD is either Tomlin’s wife for real posting here or (much more likely) a really weird dude that has an uncontrollable desire to toss Jabba’s salad.

High Pitch Eric comes to mind
Hmmm let’s break that down some. The run run pass at the end of the game is probably the right call whether we want to admit it or not, especially with a skittish back-up QB and back-up RB coming off of a fumble.
So you are “protecting” your skittish QB by putting him in known passing situations on third down all the while running your backs up the middle into stacked boxes on 1st & 2nd down?
Seems that strategy (if you want to call it one) is making each players job more difficult rather than easier. Most definitely not increasing the likelihood of a positive outcome.
How about a play-action pass on first down when the defense expects (given the ample tape) you to run it there?
Maybe try some crossing routes to Johnson behind the linebackers expecting run? Or even a PA to the left while rolling Mason to the right? If the pass isn’t there he has the option to keep the ball which essentially converts it back to a menial running play. So you may get the same result but you also at the least allowed your players to do something crazy like make a play...

The officiating was noticeably influential... per the standard of the new nfl.
That is Never Good for a professional match up unless you're the WWE/WWF... then it's to be expected. is this the Norm for the NFL?
The NFL officiating has progressively gotten so bad over the years that we've become desensitized to their overly aggressive approach to script games that they feel benefit their bottom line. We are all conditioned to look up for flags after sacks, catches, runs, kickoffs, punts and for essentially every play that unfolds....Players visibly motioning to officials that a flag was the appropriate action...That kind of shit has only been in the last 20 years that we see players actively looking for flags on plays...
The only reason this game was played pretty much nation wide is do to the shit games that were also scheduled to playout at the same time.

This is why Mike Tomlin is HC and you are not.
Tomlin's gut said they had that game won. So he saved that play action pass you refer to for another game his gut tells him they're losing.

It seems to me the vast majority of games are called to keep it a full 60 minute contest. That's why, in today's NFL, being on defense with the lead late is a bad position to be in.Steelafan77 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 03, 2019 10:17 pmThe officiating was noticeably influential... per the standard of the new nfl.

I thought Tomlin should have throw the flag on the play that samuels was ruled down at the goal line . But come on the ball was at least 10 yards over thrown. This was a terrible case of play calling by tomlin and Fitchner
