Big Ten Championship Game Scouting Notes

Post by smithessmokin » Sun Dec 06, 2015 5:30 am

First off, what a terrific game. The way Michigan finished the game with a 22 play drive going 82 yards for the score is something of legend. Essentially took the last seven minutes of the game.

Iowa:
Desmond King- Wow, what a beast. I've watched games this year and his performance backs up why he won the Big Ten DB of the Year Award. Excellent hips, great awareness, great tackler. This guy should be mentioned with the other top consensus CBs such as White, Alexander, Fuller, Ramsey, etc. This guy can flat out ball and I would love to see him keep his college colors next year.

Austin Blythe- This guy could easily be our Day 3 pick for OL depth. He's not a great athlete nor the biggest guy on the field but he just flat out does the dirty work and gets results.

Michigan State:
Shilique Mother Fucking Calhoun- He's been my favorite candidate to replace Jarvis Jones and tonight only reinforced my opinion. He does a good job of setting the edge. But what's special about Calhoun is his quickness and non-stop motor. He was all over the field tonight and even showed some chops dropping back to break a crucial play early in the ball game. Attention Colbert, this kid needs to be on the list of guys for the 1st Round!

Jack Conklin- Example of another great football player who isn't the best athlete. No wonder this guy gets the 1st Round hype. Mountain man who continues to be the definition of blindside protector.

Joel Heath- What a mountain man on the DL for the Spartans. Have to give props to FC, this guy was made to play in the 34. Great against the run and forced double teams all night. Most importantly, he allowed his teammates to make plays such as.....

....Darien Harris- What a bad mother fucker here. Just lays the wood. Team captain, great leader, humble. Those words could be used to describe many of Sparty's best players.

That Cox kid- This guy has a bright future ahead of him. He's going to make some team very happy on Sundays. Man can he hit and cover.

Larry Scott- What a beast of a freshmen. Kid is going to explode next year.....if not in the playoffs.
