Pens vs Caps Game 2 4-29-17
Didn't see any lines on the NHL site.
I believe the Pens had an optional skate in the AM and several players took it off.
According to Sullivan everyone is a game time decision. Questions must be getting to him.
This is a huge opportunity for the Pens. The Caps know they have to win. So who comes out and plays well to start? I figure that the Caps will see at least 3 PP's in the initial period so having Hagelin back could be crucial.
Looking at the quotes from the locker room is that everyone knows that they have given up too many opportunities and that as a team the overall defense has to be better. More importantly they realize that puck possession is their bread and butter and to survive this series they had better improve on it.

I'm looking at it from the caps perspective. They have to continue to press, and press hard. Eventually the Pens D and goal tending will buckle.
I hope I'm wrong, and the pens D will stiffen up.
Maybe hags can bring some PP killing as you say, and maybe even bring some offense in place of sheary.

Arguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon. No matter how good you are, the pigeon is going to shit on the board and strut around like it won anyway.

Hope you're wrong about the PP, Fractal....and honestly, I'm not that worried about it. Pens speed will keep them outta the box. I'm having a good feeling about this one, going back to Pittsburgh up, 2-0.
The Caps will be diving like little pussies tonight, I could easily see more than 3 pp's. Flower will have to stand on n his head again tonight. Need Malkin to step up and play much better. Need Schultzie to start shooting more. Honestly if Sheary is going to stay like this, I would rather see Wilson play.

I meant at least 2PP's for the Caps in the opening period. I had a long snapper moment there.

Saw it thanks and that is the right guy to sit.
Sheary will see his minutes reduced.
Cole with two huge clears on the PK.
HBK line together again.

Very fortunate to not be facing a multi-goal deficit already

Here's an idea: let's play some of the game in THEIR end for a change.

Maata Hainsey and Shultz look like shit.

Pens are playing like shit, but credit Washington because they are making it look their are 10 men on the ice. You would not know that Pittsburgh is the faster team.

Pens have no jump except for Kessel and Malkin and both of them have been late getting back in their end. The Caps are beating the Pens to every loose puck. Fleury must feel like he is 19 again when he faced 40-50 shots a night.
We are France right now and it is 1940.

Lars Eller has seized on Marcus Johansson's former position as the ultimate dicktease.

Nobody cares about Johansson or Eller but you. Do you like talking to walls?

Well kudos to Fleury. We could so be down multiple goals now.
We have them right where we want them.

There are probably 6 caps message boards that would love to talk about Lars Eller with you. You would have a blast.

You were right, Fractal.....two Caps power plays in opening period.
They are also being bitch slapped along the boards. I think we have only won a few scrums along the boards.

Pens need to regroup. Best way to combat the fact that our defensemen generally suck is to play dump and chase. Do as much as you can to gain the redline then go get them damn thing.

Yep. Pens should have got at least one call that period.
