Post by fractalsteel » Wed Dec 28, 2016 8:39 pm

Yikes, Dumo out 4-6 weeks with a broken jaw. We are razor thin on defense now and have to scramble to get someone up for tonight's game.
Letang is skating but his response to such yesterday made it sound like he was a few weeks away still.

Murray in net tonight.

Penguins projected lineup

Conor Sheary -- Sidney Crosby -- Bryan Rust

Chris Kunitz -- Evgeni Malkin -- Patric Hornqvist

Carl Hagelin -- Nick Bonino -- Phil Kessel

Scott Wilson -- Matt Cullen -- Eric Fehr

Ian Cole -- Justin Schultz

Derrick Pouliot -- Steve Oleksy

Chad Ruhwedel

Matt Murray

Marc-Andre Fleury

Scratched: None

Injured: Kris Letang (lower body), Trevor Daley (upper body), Tom Kuhnhackl (lower body), Olli Maatta (illness), Brian Dumoulin (broken jaw)

That was a fun game.

Horny was beastly on Hags goal.

I only watched the last 5 minutes of the game. Surprised Daley played

I was at the game last night. First time I've been to the new arena. I haven't seen a hockey game in Pittsburgh since the late 90's. I have gone to see the Pens play in Philly a few times and Long Island once. Weird game. Not single penalty for either team and it felt like the ice was tilted in Carolina's favor most of the night, but the Pens were able to cash in on the few quality chances that they did get and managed to steal a win.

Some rumors floating around that Murray was pulled because he had the butt squirts, which was obviously reported as a "lower body injury".

I assumed it was his leg/groin when Daley flew into him on that goal.

Rumored that the flu or other virus is plaguing the Pens. Maata is home because of it.

Yeah it was a weird game last night. Very impressed by Carolina but once again the Pens saved the best for last.
