Amazing, but not surprising stat
Got this from the Steeler Depot podcast.
Average percentage of throw by QBs into "tight windows" is about 19%. On Sunday, Brady's percentage was approx. 2.5%....meaning the threw ONE fuckin' ball of his 42 passes into a tight window.

That's the NE offense, partially. That's why they can put in 2nd and 3rd string QB's and get Pro Bowl-level production and efficiency.
I would guess that 19% for Ben is not bad, probably even a little above average.
Haley really didn't call a bad game (once Bell went out) - ton of points left on the field due to drops and officiating.

Here's another one:
@Steelersdepot: #Steelers sent a 3-man pass rush after Brady on 21 of 45 dropbacks

and about 21 times you saw Brady man pose and tap the ball three and four times before doing an almost Leftwhich-like windup and spin the ball where no Steeler defender dare to go.

they were actually better defending him with 3 man rush than on the blitz, FWIW

Based on what, B2B? I just deleted the tape, but first half, Steelers rushed three on 14 of 21 pass attempts. I know they rushed three on 5 of 6 pass attempts on Patriots 1st possession. On Patriots 2nd TD drive, Steelers rushed 3 on both of the 3rd & 10s.

Rushing 3 on the 3rd and longs told me everything I need to know....
And what was that you ask?
Some people never learn

That's the NE offense...Brady just stands there and plays pitch and catch. He rarely needs to make tough throws.

Brady had a perfect passer rating, a 100% completion percentage, and about 10 yards per attempt vs the blitz in this game.
Essentially, B2B, you're telling us we were all homers to the utmost to think the Steelers matched up well with the Pats this game.

I think the Steelers were maybe the 2nd or 3rd best team in the league this year-- on a good day, they could have really given the Pats a game for 4 quarters. They're a couple of players short, even with a better and more complex game plan.

Butler and McCourty really impressed me in this game. I thought they were good but I thought Butler in particular was the best defender of AB I've seen since AB has been in the league.

He's the best CB in the league for my money. Amazing what he has become.
